Özet
En eski anlatılar olan mitler, insan deneyiminin temel kurguları olarak her devirde yeni formlarla ortaya çıkmaktadır. "Şahmeran" adlı bu film yaratılırken mitin bize aktarılan son versiyonları olan mesnevilerden, bilinen en eski versiyonları olan Sümer kaynaklarına kadar uzanan kültürel derinliği ve coğrafyanın çağlar boyu süregelen kozmik tasavvuru irdelenmiştir. Yapılan literatür taramaları neticesinde bütün bu birikimden ilham alarak film olayları kurulmuş, görsel ve sözel imalarla da metinler arası bağlar inşa edilmiştir. Böylelikle bir halk masalının kuru bir tekrarı olmanın ötesinde, kültürel derinliğe ve alt anlatılara sahip, klasik edebiyattaki yapıların hem plot hem söz oyunları hem de tasvirler bakımından sentezlendiği bir film üretilmiştir. Filmin fantastik, mistik evrenini kurmak için yapımında 2D cut-out animasyon tekniği tercih edilmiştir.
As ancient narratives, myths emerge with new forms in every epoch as the basic fictions of Human experience. While creating this movie called "Sahmeran", it was tried to understand the cultural depth and the cosmic imagination of the geography that has been going on for ages, extending from the masnavis, which are the latest versions of the myth, to the Sumerian sources, the oldest known versions. As a result of the literature review, film events were established by taking inspiration from all this accumulation, and intertextual ties were built with visual and verbal implications. Thus, beyond being a dry repetition of a folk tale, a cinematographic work with cultural depth and sub-narratives was produced, in which the structures of classical literature were synthesized in terms of plot, wordplay and descriptions. In order to establish the fantastic and mystical universe of the film, it was preferred to be made with 2D cut-out animation technique.
