dc.description.abstractThe aim of the study is to explain the Critical Thinking Dispositions (CTD) of managers and white-collar employees and to understand the factors that may affect their critical thinking and their possible effects. The research was designed according to the mixed method exploratory sequential design, where both quantitative and qualitative data are collected. Quantitative data were obtained with the Califor-nia Critical Thinking Disposition Scale and qualitative data were obtained with semi-structured inter-view questions. A total of 220 managers and white-collar employees working in Istanbul participated in the study and the quantitative data were analyzed with the SPSS24 program. The working group in which qualitative data was collected consisted of 15 managers and white collar, content analysis was used in the analysis of the data. The findings showed that managers (174.14 points) and white-collar employees (173.13 points) had moderate CTD and there was no significant difference between the two groups. However, qualitative findings showed that there were differences between the two groups, ma-nagers were cautious about employees' CTD, they even perceived this as a threat and disrespect, emp-loyees have anxiety about loosing their jobs and felt themselves unworthy due to their CTD. In the light of the findings, suggestions were made for educators and practitioners to improve their CTD.en_US
