Özet
Bu tez çalışması Köy Enstitüleri, ilkokul öğretmeni yetiştirmek üzere 17 Nisan 1940 tarihli yasa ile açılmış, Türkiye'ye özgü bu eğitim projesini ve kurucularından İsmail Hakkı Tonguç?un yaklaşık 10 yıl süren çalışmalarını anlatmaktadır. Neredeyse tüm Anadolunun okulsuz ve öğretmensiz olduğu yıllarda köylerden gelen ilkokul mezunu zeki çocukların bu okullarda yetiştirildikten sonra yeniden köylere giderek öğretmen olarak çalışmaları düşüncesiyle kurulmuş bu eğitim kurumlarına günümüzden bakmak amacım olmuştur.Yardımları için danışman hocam Prof.Dr.Oğuz Makal?a teşekkürlerimi borç bilirim.
This study describes Village Institutes, an education project unique to Turkey, which were established with a law dated 1940, April 17 for purpose of teacher education and ten-year workings of İsmail Hakki Tonguc, one of the founders of the project. Aim of this thesis is to look at these institutes that are founded to educate clever and primary school graduate children as teachers of villages in a time that almost whole Anatolia lacked schools and teachers. I owe my thesis adviser Prof. Dr. Oguz Makal a dept of gratitute for his help.
