dc.description.abstract1925 yılında yayımlanmaya başlayan Türkiyat Mecmuasının ilk yirmi sayısı, halk edebiyatı bağlamında, ele alınan tez çalışması kapsamında incelenmiştir. Araştırmada, halk edebiyatı ile doğrudan ilişkili makaleler tespit edilmiş ve bu metinler içerik, tür ve kapsam açısından değerlendirilmiştir. Çalışma boyunca Türkiyat Mecmuası'nda yer alan ve destan, menkıbe, halk şiiri gibi Türk halk edebiyatına ait türlerle ilgili bilimsel yazılar incelenmiştir. Çalışma; karşılaştırmaya dayalı bir yöntem yerine, betimleyici ve sistematik bir analiz yöntemiyle gerçekleştirilmiş; halk edebiyatı temalı içerikler yapı, dil ve tema açısından genel bir bütünlük içinde değerlendirilmiştir. Elde edilen veriler doğrultusunda, Türkiyat Mecmuasının halk edebiyatı çalışmalarına önemli katkılar sunduğu; özellikle erken Cumhuriyet döneminde bu alanın akademik çerçevede nasıl ele alındığına dair bilgi verdiği sonucuna ulaşılmıştır. Çalışma, ilgili metinleri sistematik bir indeks yapısıyla sunarak, hem arşiv değeri taşıyan bir kaynak oluşturmayı hem de araştırmacılar için yönlendirici bir çerçeve sunmayı hedeflemektedir. Ayrıca bu çalışma, Türkiyat Mecmuasının halk edebiyatına yaklaşımını dönemsel bağlamda ortaya koyması açısından literatürdeki boşlukları doldurmayı amaçlamaktadır. Derginin halk edebiyatı metinlerini nasıl konumlandırdığına dair yapılan bu tarama, hem alan yazında tarihsel bir perspektif sunmakta hem de gelecekte yapılacak araştırmalara sağlam bir temel oluşturmaktadır. Böylece tez, halk edebiyatının kurumsal akademik yayınlarda nasıl temsil edildiğini ve bu temsillerin zaman içindeki değişimini gözlemleyebilmek açısından da anlamlı bir katkı sunmaktadır.
dc.description.abstractThis study examines the first twenty issues of Türkiyat Mecmuası, which began publication in 1925, within the context of Turkish folk literature. Articles directly related to folk literature were identified and evaluated in terms of their content, genre, and scope. Throughout the research, scholarly studies focusing on genres such as epic tales, legends, and folk poetry were analyzed. Rather than adopting a comparative approach, the study employs a descriptive and systematic method, assessing folk literature-themed texts in terms of structure, language, and theme. The findings reveal that Türkiyat Mecmuası made significant contributions to the field of folk literature studies, particularly by providing insights into how this discipline was academically approached during the early Republican period. By presenting the relevant texts through a systematic index, the study aims to create a source of archival value and to provide a guiding framework for future research. Furthermore, this research fills a gap in the literature by contextualizing Türkiyat Mecmuası's approach to folk literature within its historical period. The analysis demonstrates how the journal positioned folk literature texts, offering both a historical perspective for the field and a solid foundation for subsequent studies. Thus, the thesis contributes meaningfully to understanding how folk literature was represented in institutional academic publications and how these representations evolved over time.
