The aim of our study is to make a research and determine the level of comprehending environmental risks and level of anxiety among health personnel resulting from those risks. The total field under Survey is 2303 health personnel working GATA Haydarpasa Hospital. Our experimental group consists of 74 doctors, 81 nurses and 65 health workers working in managerial staff. In our crossectional research, a questionnary form of 16 questions, prepared specially, applied to our experimental group. I I questions from the questionnary likert scaled as 1: no risk, 4: high risk determine the level of comprehending environmental risks, and the last two questions are used for the evaluation of the sensitivity of this subject. 62% of the personnel who take part in our research are male, 38% of them are female and the average age is 36,5. In our research, as a statistical method aritmetic average, one-way ANOVA and t-test are used. Three environmental factors regarded as risky by health personnel are respectively global heating(x: 3,39), ozone layer depletion (x: 3,31) and chemical substances(x: 3,23). Electro magnetic waves (x: 2,37) eminating from mobile phones and distorted urbanization (x: 2,61) have been perceived as factors bearing the lowest risk. Health personel feel a great deal of anxiety concerning the future in general. There is no meaningful distinction among sexes from statistical view point with regard to this matter (p>.05). There is only a sensible distinction between male and female health personel deriving from erosional threat vis a vis the perception of the environmental risk from statistical point of view (p<05). The similar inquiries have to be made widely in order to determine the dimensions of such sensitivity displayed towards environmental risks by the health personel.en_US
