dc.description.abstractError correction has always been a deep concern of language teachers in foreign language teaching. Because most teachers believe that errors which are left uncorrected will be permanent errors in the future. It is for this reason that language teachers have always discussed how they should correct errors. While some adopt a “ behavioristic approach “ to error correction, some others prefer a “ cognitive approach “. Hence, the question of what, when, and how to make the corrections is still under discussion. It should also be taken into consideration that teachers should have a positive attitude to correct students’ errors. If not, students may be discouraged and unmotivated. In this paper I will try to shed light on the issues mentioned above and present some tips of mine to prevent or minimize the errors which are commonly made by Turkish students.en_US
