Özet
Hastalık, insanların dünyadaki varlığından beri hayatında olmuştur. İnsanlar, hastalıklardan kendini koruyup, sağlıklı kalabilmek için çare aramışlardır. Hastalıklar gibi hekimlik mesleğinin tarihi de çok eskilere dayanmaktadır. Hekimlik mesleği zaman içerisinde dönüşüme uğramış ve gelişmiştir. Bu tez, kadın diş hekimlerinin mesleki tecrübelerinde, toplumsal cinsiyet rollerinin etkisini tespit etmek amacıyla gerçekleştirilmiştir. Tezin verisi nitel araştırma yöntemiyle derlenmiştir. On altı kadın diş hekimi ile derinlemesine mülakat yapılmıştır. İlk görüşme 09.11.2020'de son görüşme ise 07.05.2021'de gerçekleştirilmiştir. Bu araştırmanın teori kısmında dünyada ve Türkiye'de tıp tarihi içerisinde kadın hekimlerin yeri ele alınmıştır. Meslekler sosyolojisi literatürü ve tıp tarihi incelenerek toplumsal cinsiyet perspektifinden hareketle kadın diş hekimlerinin mesleki deneyimleri tartışılmıştır.
The disease has been in the lives of people since their existence on earth. People have sought a remedy to protect themselves from diseases and stay healthy. The history of the medical profession, like the diseases, goes back a long way. The medical profession has transformed and developed in time. In this thesis, female dentists in the historical process are discussed and supported by qualitative research method in the perspective of gender, forming the main theme of the thesis. In the theory part of this research, the history of medicine in the world was first looked at and then the history of medicine in Turkey was looked at.Female dentists, who are discussed from the perspective of medical sociology and gender, were examined qualitatively and in depth with the participation of sixteen doctors and findings supporting the theory were obtained. These findings were examined from a gender perspective.
