Özet
This study, based on a survey of students at a Comprehensive college in New York, examined the importance of certain 'program and non-program related factor, and location that influenced their decisions to study abroad. It also assessed the level of satisfaction that students felt with different aspects of the programs that they participated in. Findings indicate that the academic value in terms of intellectual and personal growth, career enhancement potential, ability to graduate on time, cost, and availability of financial aid were the most important program-related considerations, while exposure to other cultures and desire to live independently in a foreign environment were the most important non-program related factors that weighed in students' decisions.
