dc.description.abstractBu tez çalışmasında, endüstri mirası yapılarının sürdürülebilirlik kapsamında yeniden işlevlendirilmesi, Artİstanbul Feshane örneği üzerinden analiz edilmiştir. Sürdürülebilirlik kavramı sosyal, kültürel ve ekonomik boyutlarıyla ele alınmış; yapıların fonksiyonel sürdürülebilirliğinin sağlanması amacıyla erişilebilir, kapsayıcı, eşitlikçi, katılımcı ve ekonomik kalkınmayı destekleyen yaklaşımlarla yeniden işlevlendirilmesi gerektiği savunulmuştur. Söz konusu yaklaşımlar, Sürdürülebilir Kalkınma Hedefleri bağlamında değerlendirilmiş; (11.4) kültürel mirasın korunması, (11.7) erişilebilir kamusal alanların sağlanması, (10.2) toplumsal eşitsizliklerin azaltılması, (8.3) istihdam olanaklarının artırılması ve (16.7) katılımcı, kapsayıcı karar alma süreçlerinin güçlendirilmesi hedeflerine sunduğu olası katkılar analiz edilmiştir. Alan çalışması kapsamında incelenen Artİstanbul Feshane'nin güncel işlevi yerinde gözlem, deneyimleme, fotoğraflama ve kullanıcı anketleriyle detaylı olarak değerlendirilmiştir. Elde edilen bulgularla birlikte, yapının yeniden işlevlendirme sürecinin sosyal, kültürel ve ekonomik sürdürülebilirlik ilkelerini ve ilgili yaklaşımları büyük ölçüde desteklediği; bununla birlikte Sürdürülebilir Kalkınma Hedefleri'ne de katkı sağladığı ortaya konulmuştur.
dc.description.abstractThis thesis analyzes the adaptive reuse of industrial heritage structures within the scope of sustainability, focusing on the case of Artİstanbul Feshane. The concept of sustainability is addressed through its social, cultural, and economic dimensions. It is argued that the functional sustainability of these structures should be ensured by adaptive reuse approaches that are accessible, inclusive, equitable, participatory, and supportive of economic development. These approaches are evaluated in the context of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), with an analysis of their potential contributions to goals such as (11.4) the protection of cultural heritage, (11.7) ensuring access to inclusive public spaces, (10.2) reducing social inequalities, (8.3) increasing employment opportunities, and (16.7) strengthening participatory and inclusive decision-making processes. The current function of Artİstanbul Feshane, examined as the field study, was assessed in detail through on-site observation, experiential analysis, photography, and user surveys. The findings reveal that the adaptive reuse process of the structure substantially supports social, cultural, and economic sustainability principles, while also contributing to the achievement of the Sustainable Development Goals.
