dc.description.abstractDaniel Goleman'ın ön plana çıkarttığı ve artık günümüz işletmeleri tarafından onay gören duygusal zeka kavramı gittikçe değerli hale gelmektedir. İş yaşamında, hizmeti alan ve hizmeti veren grupların karşılıklı olarak birbirini etkilemesinde en önemli öğeyi duygular oluşturmaktadır. Çağımızın gerekliliklerinde hizmeti verenler aldıkları ücret bedeline denk olarak şahsi hislerini kullanarak, hizmeti alanın hislerine etki ederek istenilen yöne çekmekle yükümlüdürler. Çalışmanın genel amacı duygusal zeka ölçüsü ile iletişim becerisinin arasındaki ilişkiyi belirlemektir. Bu doğrultuda duygusal zeka ve iletişim kavramları teorik çerçevede incelenmiş ve aralarındaki ilişki ortaya çıkarılmaya çalışılmıştır. Çalışmayı desteklemek amacıyla uygulama örneği gerçekleştirilmiş ve lojistik sektöründe faaliyet gösteren yedi büyük firmadaki 505 büro çalışanına bu ölçümü gerçekleştirmek üzere Schutte Duygusal Zeka Ölçeği ve İletişim Becerileri Ölçeği uygulanmıştır. Elde edilen veriler istatistiksel olarak hesaplanarak sonuçlar ortaya konmuştur. Yapılan analizler sonucunda toplam duygusal zeka olarak adlandırılan tüm boyutlar itibariyle iletişim becerilerinin boyutları arasında anlamlı bir ilişki bulunmuştur. Duygusal zeka düzeyinin iletişim becerilerini doğrudan etkilemesinin tespiti üzerine sağlıklı bir duygusal zeka eğitim planı hazırlanarak uygulamalarda ve sektör içerisinde daha olumlu sonuçlar sağlayacağına inanılmaktadır.
dc.description.abstractThe consept of emotional intelligence as emphasized and outlined by Daniel Goleman is approved by today's businesses and it is becoming more and more important. People's communication skills and the enhancement of these skills are another important issues to be emphasized. In the service sector, the most important aspect of customer-worker interaction is emotional feeling. The service provider has become obligated to regulate the emotional reactions in a way that will create satisfaction to the customer.In todays conditions, the service workers in return of their payments, must also fulfill their duty of directing other's feelings using their own feelings.This is where the starting point of emotional intelligence becames essential. The general aim of this study is to determine the relationship of communication skills which depend on the emotional intelligence. Toward this aim, the concepts of communication and emotional intelligence were examined according to the theoretical framework and the relation between them is tried to be revealed in this study. A sample application was implemented to support the study and a questionnaire was applied to 505 office workers in 7 major firms operating in the logistics sector to carry out this measurement. The obtained data were statistically calculated and the results were presented. The results showed a signitizant correlation of communication skills and the dimensions of total emotional intelligence. By having determined that the level of emotional intelligence levels have direct effects on communication skills consequantly it is believed that a proper emotional intelligence education program could provide better and effective results among the sector and applications on this fields.
