The handicraft created by sewing side by side the pieces of fabric with different colours and patterns cut in various ways is called patchwork. From the past to the present, different countries have created their own unique stylistic designs, which have led to the emergence of both craft and artistic productions. All over the world, needlepoint has a deep-rooted history, brought together by the combination of many different languages, religions, civilisations, cultural elements and local elements. What makes the needlepoint, which has an extremely strong tradition in anatolia, valuable is the meaning underlying each piece of fabric and the potential to transform the experiences that add value to one's life into a means of expression. Nowadays, craft methods such as cross stitching are gaining importance for circular fashion design, which aims to use resources in a way that will allow future generations to meet their own needs. While the concept of sustainability and the circular economic model aim to eliminate the environmental impacts caused by production methods on the one hand, on the other hand, it focuses on the evaluation of cultural heritage. At this point, it has been realised that it is also important to return to our cultural habits from the past and to popularise practices based on our cultural heritage. Within the scope of this thesis, a literature review has been conducted on the subject of cross stitch and circular fashion, and the works and designs produced in this field have been analysed in both historical and contemporary contexts. Then, the findings obtained by designing a collection that exemplifies the use of the traditional needlepoint technique in the field of circular fashion design have been put into practice.
