dc.description.abstractKlinik Olarak Dikkat Eksikliği Hiperaktivite Bozukluğu Tanısı Konan Çocuk ve Ergenlerde, MOXO Dikkat Eksikliği Hiperaktivite Testi Sonuçlarının Uyumluluğunun Değerlendirilmesi Dikkat Eksikliği Hiperaktivite Bozukluğu (DEHB) çocuklarda en sık rastlanılan psikiyatrik bozukluklardan birisidir. Zamanında konulmuş doğru bir tanı, doğru bir tedaviyi de beraberinde getirecek ve DEHB'li bireyin hayatını kolaylaştıracaktır. Ancak, tanı koymaya yardımcı araçların subjektif doğası sebebiyle, klinik tanıyı destekleyen testlerin yetersiz olduğu bilinmektedir. Bu araştırmanın amacı, DEHB semptomlarını değerlendiren MOXO computerized continous performance testinin (d-CPT), klinik tanıyı destekleyen sonuçlar verip vermediğini incelemektir. Bu çalışmada özel bir hastane örnekleminde çocuk ve ergen psikiyatristi tarafından DEHB tanısı alan 30 çocuk ve ergenden oluşan deney grubu ve herhangi bir psikiyatrik rahatsızlığı bulunmayan 20 çocuk ve ergenden oluşan kontrol grubuna MOXO d-CPT uygulanarak iki grup arasındaki performans farkları incelenmiştir. DEHB'liler, normallerle kıyasla dikkat, zamanlama, dürtüsellik ve hiperaktivite parametrelerinde daha zayıf performanslar göstermişlerdir. Dikkat parametresinde deney grubunun iyi performans düzeyi kontrol grubuna kıyasla istatistiksel olarak anlamlı derecede düşük bulunmuştur. Çalışma sonuçları MOXO d-CPT'nin klinik tanıyı destekleyen sonuçlar verdiği şeklindeki önceki çalışma bulgularını desteklemektedir. DEHB populasyonunda testin tanıda yardımcı olmada geçerlilik ve güvenilirliliğinin daha büyük örneklemlerde ve izlemsel çalışmalarla araştırılmasına ihtiyaç vardır.
dc.description.abstractThe Evaluation of MOXO Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder Test Results in Children and Adolescents with Clinical Diagnosis of Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) is among the most common psychiatric problems in children. Timely and correct diagnosis will bring appropriate treatment and will make life easier for patients with ADHD. However, it is known that tests used to support clinical diagnosis are limited due to the subjective nature of the diagnostic tools. The aim of this study was to investigate whether MOXO computerized continuous performance test (d-CPT) provides results that support clinical diagnosis. We recruited 30 children and adolescents who were diagnosed with ADHD (experimental group) by a child and adolescent psychiatrist and 20 children and adolescents without any psychiatric disorder (control group) were recruited from a private hospital sample. We applied MOXO d-CPT test to all participants and compared the test results between the experimental and control groups. Compared to normal subjects, patients with ADHD had lower performances in attention, timing, impulsivity and hyperactivity indices. In attention index, good performance level was significantly lower in the experiment group compared to control group. Our results confirm the results of previous studies which demonstrated that the results of MOXO d-CPT support clinical diagnosis. Further observational studies with larger samples are warranted to evaluate the validity and reliability of the supportive role of the test in the diagnosis of ADHD.
