dc.description.abstractŞirin tüm hayatını Batman'ın bir kenar mahallesinde, akrabaları, komşuları ve aynı dili konuştuğu bir çevrede geçirmiştir. Şirin ve çocukları hayata tutunmak için İstanbul'a taşınır. Taşındıkları mahalle tıpkı kendileri gibi hayatın savurduğu, ülkenin, hatta dünyanın farklı coğrafyalarından gelmiş insanların yaşadığı, tehlikenin kol gezdiği, herkesin hem bir arada, hem de apayrı olduğu, dilleri dillerine benzemez insanların yaşadığı Tarlabaşı'dır. Burası hem İstanbul'un göbeğinde, hem de İstanbul' a çok uzaktır.Sabahları, kendileri için tamamen yabancı bu şehirde yaşama tutunmanın yollarını arayan çocuklarını evden gönderdikten sonra kendi başına kalan Şirin'in günleri tekdüze akıp gitmeye başlar. Geldiği topraklara olan özlemini, oradan getirdiği ve beyaz bir tülbentin içine çıkınladığı toprağı koklayarak gidermeye çalışır.
dc.description.abstractŞirin was in a suburb of Batman with her relatives, neighbours and it was an environtment where the same language was spoken. Şirin and her kids moved to Istanbul for a better life. The neigborhood they moved into was Tarlabaşı where it was danger ?ridden, people came from different geographies of the world and the country, everyone was together but also separated with dissimilar languages. It is in the heart of İstanbul also it is far from İstanbul.In the mornings, She sends her children to search to hold onto the life in this city which is completely strange to them. When she is alone her monotonous days begins to flow. When she misses her land of origin, in order to fulfill her longings she smells the soil she brought with her in a white cheesecloth.
