dc.description.abstract | This study aims to explore the influence of age and gender towards variables components affecting bankers perception of ethics in Turkey. Self-administered questionnaire with scale of 1- 5 was used to measure bank employees perception of ethics with reasonable good score on Cronbach's realibility test. With Cronbach alpha of .621 (which sould be greater than .5 for a satisfactor analysis), the reliability of the instrument is considered adequate for this study. Thus, we proceeded to our analysis successfully. Results showed that age and gender were not significant determinants to factors affecting bank employees perception of ethics in Turkey. During the years 1997-2002 twenty banks were taken over by the Turkish SDIF (Savings Deposits Insurance Fund) resulting in systemic banking crises associated with structural deficiencies. Unethical behaviour in the banking sector played a crucial role. (Hortassu & Giinay, 2010) | en_US |
