Özet
Turkey is one of the richest countries both in historical and cultural assets maintaining various tourism alternatives for the tourism industry. However, to keep this richness for the upcoming generations, the sustainability issue becomes a major focal point and brings responsibility. Not only in tourism related faculties, but also in the schools of architecture, conservation courses are included in the curricula. Managing heritage assets involves various phases nonetheless conserving them in the long term is the most crucial process. This research aims to investigate and seek to find out how much emphasis is given on conservation courses in schools of architecture considering the fact that tourism education is incorporated in most built environments schools as well. The type of conservation courses, the course content, whether the course is compulsory or elective, all play a substantial role in the success of students' cognition of conserving the historical assets. Therefore, this study highlights the significance of architecture education within the scope of conservation and points out the link between tourism sustainability and the conservation education
