Globalization makes mobility easy and possible. That is why a graduate has the opportunity to find not only a nationwide but also a worldwide occupation. In most countries in the world, the function of accreditation for educational institutions is conducted by a government ministry of education. The purpose of this study is presenting the goal of the accreditation. The goal of accreditation is to ensure that education provided by institutions of higher education meets acceptable levels of quality. In order to present the educational philosophy that monitors the international values and standards, ABET (Accreditation Board for Engineering and Technology) in engineering education and international standards in medical education are taken into consideration. Engineering departments of a few universities have been accredited with respect to the ABET criteria. In medical education a few universities have been initiating the accreditation process in Turkey. In most countries in the world, the function of accreditation tor educational institutions is conducted by a government ministry of education. One of the most important Outcomes of economic globalization is the abolition of national boundaries in the fields of goods and services trade as well as production factors, namely capital and especially high-skilled labor. The need for free movement of persons in the globalize world increased discussions about world-wide recognition of diplomas and the ways of achieving it. The accreditation issue for the universities arose in such a global Milieu and attracted very much the interest of Turkish higher education institutions. Actually student exchange is made possible between European universities within the European Credit Transfer System (ECTS). The ongoing discussion about the impact of different accreditation systems in the EU oil the Student exchange is of great interest for Turkish Universities. In this paper, accreditation efforts to achieve international recognition for Turkish universities are discussed.Öğe STUDENTS' PERCEPTIONS ABOUT CUSTOMER RELATIONSHIP MANAGEMENT(Int Scientific Conference Sgem, 2009) Yalcin, DilekAs it is well-known, customer relationship management (CRM) has become an important topic for practitioners in recent years. Customer relationship management becomes an important key of how to manage relationships with customers effectively. A key component of many initiatives is the implementation of Customer Relationship Management (CRM) methods. In order to enhance customer relationships, the application of CRM methods are exploring in detail. By means of the application of CRM methods, university human resources management (HRM) departments collect all data about current students as customer and potential customers. This research aims to explore the perceptions of students in regarding of university CRM applications. Research findings indicate that the students attending private and state universities have no enough CRM perceptions. As a result it is seen that CRM applications can be an effective and successful tool for university HRM professionals.
