Öğe Correlation Between Relative Handgrip Strength Index as well as Chronotropic Response Index and Heart Rate Recovery Index(2020) Ural, İbrahim Halil; Öztürk, Derya; Çimen, Arif OğuzhanIntroduction: This study evaluated the relationship between relative handgrip strenght index (rHGSi) as wellas chronotropic response index (Cri) and heart rate recovery index (HRRi), which are the prognostic parameters of treadmill exercise.Patients and Methods: In total, 490 patients who were recommended to undergo the exercise electrocardiographic test were recruited in this study. The participants were divided into two groups based on both Cri(normal and low CRi groups) and rHGSi (high and low rHGSi groups). Results: The treadmill exercise time, peak heart rate, and metabolic equivalents were higher in the high rHGSigroup than in the low rHGSi group. In addition, the 1st minute HRRi and Cri were higher in the high rHGSigroup than in the low rHGSi group. The treadmill exercise time, basal and peak heart rate, metabolic equivalents, and 1st minute HRRi were significantly lower in the low CRi group than in the normal Cri group. rHGSiwas considered an independent predictor of low chronotropic response index. Based on a bivariate analysis, astatistically significant positive correlation was observed between Cri and rHGSi. Similarly, there was a positive association between rHGSi and 1st minute HRRi.Conclusion: rHGSi might be a practical and effective tool in cardiovascular risk stratification.Öğe Diz Osteoartritli Hastalarda Eklem İçi Viskosuplement Enjeksiyonunun İzokinetik Kas Gücü Üzerine Etkileri(2021) Duymaz, Tomris; Ünal, Mehmet; Hakan, Mehmet Tolgahan; Ural, İbrahim HalilGİRİŞ ve AMAÇ: Diz osteoartriti hayat kalitesini önemli derecede etkileyen yaygın bir hastalıktır. SPSS for Windows programı ile istatistiksel analizler yapıldı. BULGULAR: 60°/sn ve 240°/sn açısal hızlarında yapılan izokinetik testlerde istatistiksel olarak anlamlı fark bulundu. Diz osteoartriti tedavisinde hyaluronik asit, kondroitin sülfat ve glukozamin içeren viskosuplementasyon enjeksiyonlarının kuadriseps ve hamstring kaslarında total ve fonksiyonel izokinetik kas gücünü arttırdığı saptandı. TARTIŞMA ve SONUÇ: Hyaluronik asit, kondroitin sülfat ve glukozamin içeren viskosuplementasyon enjeksiyonları kuadriseps ve hamstring kaslarında 60°/sn ve 240°/sn açısal hızlarında izokinetik kas gücünün artmasını sağlamaktadır. Tedavi protokollerinde daha fazla yer alabileceği düşünülebilir.Öğe Evaluation of Gait Training with Treadmill Versus Rehabilitation on Ground Methods in Hemiparetic Patients with Temporospatial and Kinematic Data(2023) Ural, İbrahim Halil; Özkaya, Murat; Yalıman, AyseIntroduction: Gait disorders can occur in different forms in hemiplegic patients. Restoring a rapid, safe, and independent gait is the main goal of neurorehabilitation after stroke. Gait training with a treadmill became popular in rehabilitation. The treadmill allows for a large number of steps in a training session and a large amount of task-specific exercise can be performed. Methods: Twenty patients were enrolled in this prospective, randomized, and controlled study. The patients were divided into two groups. With computerized gait analysis, the temporospatial parameters of gait and kinematics of lower extremity joints and pelvis were evaluated. Functional evaluation was performed with a 10-m walking time (sec) and the Functional Independence Measure (FIM) - mobility and locomotion score. Results: The changes in the kinematic analyses in both groups showed that walking was more economical and functional in the treadmill group. Treadmill training stimulated functional changes on the paretic side. In the ground group, changes occurred mostly in the pelvis and leg on the healthy side, and in this way, the walking function was improved. At the same time, it was determined that the gains in the motor abilities of the paretic lower extremity, 10-m walking time, FIM mobility, and locomotion scores were higher in patients who were rehabilitated in the early period and who were given walking training on the treadmill. Discussion and Conclusion: Treadmill training in stroke-related hemiplegia can develop gait speed and safety in hemiplegia. Since treadmill treatments are more reachable and cheaper, they can be preferred in the rehabilitation of the gait in stroke-related hemiplegia.
