Öğe Aile Hekimliği Uygulaması Hakkında Kişilerin Bilgi Düzeylerinin Ölçülmesi ve Beklentilerinin Tespit Edilmesi(Beykent Üniversitesi, 2010) Kitapci, Hakan; Avci, SevinurBu çalışma, Yalova?da yaşayan vatandaşların sağlıkta dönüşüm ve reform sürecini nasıl yaşadığını, Aile hekimliği kavramını nasıl algıladığını ve aslında nasıl bir hizmet beklediğini ortaya koymak amacıyla hazırlanmıştır. Uygulamadan geçen bir yıldan fazla süre içerisinde halkın aile hekimliği uygulamaları hakkındaki değerlendirmeleri ve kendileri açısından taşıdığı önem araştırılarak ortaya konmuştur. Araştırma sonucunda; Yalova ilinde aile hekimliği uygulamasının halkın uygulamaya verdiği önem düzeyinde karşılanmadığı ve bu görüşün bireylerin demografik özelliklerine göre istatistiksel açıdan farklılaşmadığı sonuçlarına ulaşılmıştır.Öğe Antecedents and consequences of organizational ambidexterity: the moderating role of networking(Emerald Group Publishing Ltd, 2018) Gunsel, Ayse; Altindag, Erkut; Keceli, Selva Kilic; Kitapci, Hakan; Hiziroglu, MahmutPurpose - The purpose of this paper is to develop a holistic model regarding the antecedents and consequences of organizational ambidexterity in the context of small and medium sized enterprises (SMEs), particularly for developing countries such as Turkey. Moreover, this paper also aims to reveal the moderating role of networking between organizational ambidexterity and firm performance. Design/methodology/approach - By studying 105 SMEs engaged in small business and technology development centers (SBTDCs), structural equation modeling through SmartPLS is executed. Findings - The findings show that: discipline and support positively influence the formation and the maintenance of organizational ambidexterity; organizational ambidexterity significantly contributes to firm performance; and the greater the networking the greater the relationship between exploitation capability and firm performance. Originality/value - To date, there has been no systematic attempt in the extant literature to develop a holistic manner of organizational ambidexterity, with its antecedents and consequences in the context of SMEs in general, in SMEs of a developing country, Turkey in particular. Moreover, the moderating role of networking between organizational ambidexterity and a firm's performance has never been examined.Öğe How Consumer Motivations to Participate in Sharing Economy Differ Across Developed and Developing Countries: A Comparative Study of Turkiye and Canada(Sage Publications Inc, 2023) Guclu, Mehmet S.; Erdil, Oya; Kitapci, Hakan; Altindag, ErkutExtreme and fundamental changes in the economy and social life in the 2000s, fueled by technological development, pushed people toward new ways of consumption known as Sharing Economy (SE). Consumers' motivations to participate in SE are still not completely clear because of SE's relatively short history and hazy boundaries. This study aimed to contribute to closing that gap. This research also looks at how consumers' motives for SE differ across countries. Data from 678 people (440 in Istanbul, Turkiye, and 238 in Toronto, Canada) were collected and analyzed using partial least squares structural equation modeling (PLS-SEM). The results indicate that economic benefits, modern lifestyle, enjoyment, and ecological sustainability concerns substantially impact consumers' participation in SE in both Turkiye and Canada. However, consumers in both countries are unaffected by product diversity, ubiquitous availability, sense of belonging, or convenience. In addition, altruism influences Turkish consumers but not Canadians; this could be explained by Turkiye's being a Middle Eastern country with a feminine cultural structure. Even though Turkiye and Canada are very different in economic, social, cultural, and historical terms, their outcomes are remarkably similar. These identical findings indicate that consumers' stimulations are similar in participating SE regardless of their country of origin. This paper is unique as it is the first research comparing Turkish and Canadian consumers' motivations. This study is significant for both literature and practitioners in that it contributes to better understanding consumer incentives in SE.Öğe IMPACT ON PRESENTEEISM OF THE CONSCIENTIOUSNESS TRAIT: A HEALTH SECTOR CASE STUDY(Soc Personality Res Inc, 2017) Yildiz, Harun; Yildiz, Bora; Zehir, Cemal; Altindag, Erkut; Mologlu, Vedat; Kitapci, HakanOur purpose in this study was to examine the relationship between presenteeism and the conscientiousness trait as an individual-level predictor of employee health and productivity. We used convenience sampling to recruit 168 Turkish health employees, who completed measures of conscientiousness and presenteeism. The findings revealed that in a work outcomes context, the conscientiousness trait was positively related to the noncompletion of work dimension of presenteeism, the focus of which is on work outcomes. However, the relationship between the conscientiousness trait and the distraction dimension of presenteeism was nonsignificant. Our findings have implications for managers and organizations, who should be proactive in taking preventative precautions to mitigate the possible negative effects of presenteeism behaviors.Öğe Investigating the impacts of brand experience and service quality(Market Research Soc, 2017) Sahin, Azize; Kitapci, Hakan; Altindag, Erkut; Gok, Mehmet S.This study examines the impacts of brand experience (BE) and service quality (SQ) on behavioural intentions (BI) via brand trust (BT) by developing an empirical model, building on recent advances in service quality and assessing relationships between brand experience, service quality and brand trust. Building consumers' BI is an important strategic objective for all product managers. This study proposes multiple mediation models to analyse the relationships between the constructs, and analyses survey data using partial least squares structural equations to explore how these elements can be modelled. Results show, in line with previous literature, that BE and SQ indirectly affect BI through BT. Further, BT is effective in building BI, and has a mediating effect on the relationships among BE, SQ and BI. The study found new theoretical insights that highlight the importance of the focusing on high SQ levels.
