Öğe Economists That Have Contributed To Economics Policies In The World, Ottoman State And Republic Of Turkey(Elsevier Science Bv, 2011) Eren, ErolIn this article, we shall briefly look through the economists that have contributed to the economics in the world, Ottoman State and Republic of Turkey, being well-known by their studies in the field. We shall touch upon economic policy and currents established by these intellectual people. Turkish economics were active in developing economic policies and strategies; however, especially as a result of the contributions made by the scientists took shelter in Turkey during the World War II, the resulting movement led to bringing up a generation of economists. And now we see Turkish economists known well in the economic literature of the world, teaching in the prestigious universities and organizations worldwide; and we mention about these intellectual scientists that make studies mostly-read and take place in the economics literature with high impact scores and their range of studies. Then, it will concentrate oil one of the most important concequences of environmental pollution, the global warming, its antecedents and activities that result in CO2 emition. The negative effect of CO2 and greenhouse gases oil the atmosphere, oil the seas, climate changes, melting of the icebergs and the resulting scarcity, starvation, desertification will be explained. As one of the reasons of global warming, our topic will be buildings without isolation and how to reduce the CO2 released from these buildings. Especially we will present our ideas on how a good isolation would reduce heat loss in the buildings and help energy savings. Ulusal hudutların dışına çıkarak, uluslarararasılaşmanın da ötesinde küreselleşen dünyanın üretim ve ticaretinde klasik olarak yıllardan beri okuttuğumuz tüm işletme ve yönetim fonksiyonlarında kökten değişimler yaşanmakta, adeta internet ve ona dayalı olarak üretilen ve geliştirilen eylemsel bilgi sistemleri, yönetim bilgi sistemleri, ERP, CRM, e-pazar ortamları, tepe yönetimi bilgi sistemleri ve diğer karar destek sistemleri, işletme verimlilik ve etkinliğinde, rekabet avantajı yaratılmasının olmazsa olmaz araçları olmaktadır.Öğe Psikolojik Güçlendirme, Örgütsel Bağlılık ve Yaratıcı Davranış Arasındaki İlişkilerin Değerlendirilmesi(2007) Çekmecelioğlu, Hülya Gündüz; Eren, ErolGüçlendirmenin birey ve örgüt performansının temelini oluşturması, örgüt araştırmacıları ve iş dünyasının örgütlerde güçlendirme konusu ile giderek daha fazla ilgilenmesine neden olmaktadır. Ancak güçlendirme konusuna artan ilgiye rağmen, güçlendirmenin belirleyicileri ve sonuçlan ile ilgili yapılan çok az araştırma olduğu görülmektedir. Bu araştırmanın amacı psikolojik güçlendirmenin dört boyutu, Örgütsel bağlılık ve yaratıcı davranış arasındaki ilişkileri inceleyerek güçlendirme literatürüne katkıda bulunmaktır. Söz konusu değişkenler arasındaki ilişkileri incelemek üzere korelasyon ve regresyon analizleri yapılmıştır. Araştırma sonuçlan, psikolojik güçlendirmenin anlam, otonomi ve etki boyutlarının yaratıcı davranışı pozitif yönde etkilediğini göstermektedir. Sonuçlar ayrıca psikolojik güçlendirmenin anlam ve otonomi boyutlarının örgütsel bağlılığı pozitif yönde etkilediğini ve Örgütsel bağlılık ile yaratıcı davranış arasında pozitif bir ilişki olduğunu göstermektedir.Öğe Role of Turkish Commercial Banks in Developing Sustainable Microfinance Program(Zhejiang Gongshang Univ Press, 2012) Apak, Sudi; Husain, Jamaluddin; Eren, Erol; Acikgoz, Ali FarukOne of the most popular economic, efforts globally is to enable the poor people to get access to financial resources. The current Turkish efforts in this direction are limited to selected government agencies providing microfinance to the poor people on a subsidized basis. For obvious reasons such a practice does not stand a chance of ever become self-sustaining. The alternative involves seeking ways of persuading the private commercial banking industry, with all its competitive capacity and dynamism, to launch microfinance (MF) programs with a variety of different financial products as part of their corporate social responsibility (CSR). This paper first provides a brief overview of MF activities in Turkey, and after analyzing commercial banking industry data, it seeks to encourage the banking industry to seriously consider embracing MF for the poor of the country. This can easily be done by allocating a tiny fraction of their current resources towards MF as part of their corporate social responsibility, and making effective use of the industry's growing network of branches throughout the country. The study attempts to develop a systematic set of criteria to not only convince commercial banks about the MF potential, but also to persuade them to seriously try making MF products profitable and self-sustaining, while continuing to help ameliorate poverty. The recommended guidelines and criteria include considerations such as; maturity indifference, use of branch networks, mechanics of allocating funds from existing resources, levels of microcredit per customer, microcredit banking versus collateralized banking, targeting the economically lowest twenty percent of the population, etc. As a starting point for each commercial bank to initiate this CSR project, the study proposes a mandated requirement for every bank to allocate a certain percentage of its previous year's average profits per towards MF. Information is also provided on the successful trend among MF Institutions globally towards becoming self-sustaining, and gradually, even profitable. Brazil's experiences in this direction are tapped into to suggest a specific rule-of-thumb formula for the banking industry's use to penetrate the vast Untapped Turkish MF market. This study might prove to be an igniting point for jump starting a national effort towards assisting the poor through MF initiatives.Öğe Social Media's Role in Developing an Employees Sense of Belonging in the Work Place as an HRM Strategy(Elsevier Science Bv, 2013) Eren, Erol; Vardarlier, PelinThis study aims to evaluate the strategies of keeping qualified employees within the business by considering the need and desire of maintenance and growth of the business with the use of social media, a new communication medium formed owing to developing electronic technologies of today, as a form of communication, through the eye of the employee. In this study we have dealt with the level of social media-employee interaction and its relationship and its effect on organizational commitment. To determine this effect, we have included the valuation results of the surveys taken with the employees. Thus we tried to show the strategic importance of social media for the business and the recruitment of human resources to match its conditions.
