Tam Dişsiz Hastalarda Farklı Restorasyon Tiplerinin Ağız Sağlığına İlişkin Yaşam Kalitesine Etkisi

dc.description.abstractAmaç: Ülkelerin ağız sağlığını geliştirici politikaları ve bireylerin gelişen ağız bakımı ile diş kayıplarının azalmasıyla beraber, tam dişsiz çenelere sahip birey sayısındaki düşüşe rağmen, ağız sağlığı ile ilgili yaşam kalitesi [Oral Health Related Quality of Life (OHRQoL)] üzerindeki olumsuz etki, özellikle dünyadaki yaşlanan nüfus için önemli olmaya devam etmektedir. Bu olumsuz etkiler, sıklıkla beklenen etkinlikte protezlerin uygulanamaması ile ortaya çıkmaktadır. Amacımız, alt ve üst çene lokasyonunu gözönünde bulundurarak geleneksel tam protezlerin, implant destekli hareketli protezlerin ve implant destekli sabit protezlerin birbirleriyle ve doğal dişli vakalarla kıyaslanarak tam dişsiz vakalarda ağız sağlığı ie ilgili yaşam kalitesini araştırmaktır. Gereç ve Yöntem: Toplamda 13 grup gruba ayrılmış 204 hastaya OHRQoL değerlendirmesi için sıklıkla kullanılan, güvenilirliği ve geçerliliği farklı dil ve coğrafyalar için tespit edilmiş, spesifik bir ölçek olan OHIP-14 ölçeği uygulanmıştır. Veri değerlendirmesinde, gruplar arasındaki farkın önemliliği için Tek Yönlü Varyans Analizi (One-Way ANOVA), hangi grupların birbirinden farklı olduğunun tespiti için ise post-hoc testleri kullanılmıştır. Bulgular: Tüm alt katagorilerde hasta grupları arasında istatistiksel olarak anlamlı fark bulunmuştur. Sonuç: Elde edilen veriler ışığında, protetik restorasyonun varlığının, restorasyonun tipinin ve lokasyonunun hastaların ağız sağlığı ile ilgili yaşam kalitelerini etkilediği sonucuna varılmıştır.
dc.description.abstractObjective: In spite of the policies of countries to improve oral health and the decrease in tooth loss with the developing oral care of individuals and the decrease in the number of individuals with complete toothless jaws, the negative impact on oral health-related quality of life continues to be important especially for the aging population in the world. These negative effects often occur when the prosthesis cannot be applied at the expected efficacy. The aim of this study is to evaluate the quality of life comparing complete dentures, implant-supported removable prostheses and implant-supported fixed prostheses with each other and natural toothed cases considering the lower and upper jaw location. Materials and Methods: OHIP-14, a specific scale, which was used frequently for the assessment of OHRQoL, was applied to 204 patients who were divided into 13 groups. One-way ANOVA was used for the significance of the difference between the groups and post-hoc tests were used to determine which groups were different from each other. Results: Statistically significant difference was found between patient groups in all subcategories. Conclusion: It was concluded that the presence of prosthetic restoration, the type and location of the restoration affect the patients' quality of life related to oral health.
