One of the major components of financial system is business organizations within the financial environment, which injects cash to the system and individuals. Therefore, fluctuations in financial system regarding inflationary trends should be evaluated and risk management functions for banking operations should be facilitated. In this chapter, operating mechanism of financial system, risks, inflation and the effects of inflation on business operations have been outlined from a theoretical perspective. © 2015, IGI Global.Öğe Emotional intelligence model for managers in Turkish banking sector and an application(IGI Global, 2015) Hacioğlu B.; Hacioğlu U.; Yarbağ P.S.; Dinçer H.; Tuğsal T.This chapter explores the relationship between the emotional intelligence talents of bank and finance managers and employee job satisfaction. The chapter proceeds as follows: First, the authors carefully reiterate the theoretical review of job satisfaction and emotional intelligence literature. Second, the authors present the methodology, conception of the research, assumptions and limitations, measuring tools, surveys and research hypothesis used in their research. Third, the authors discuss their research findings. Finally, their research conclusions are presented. With regard to the appropriate estimation technique-regression analysis, the authors findings have demonstrated that interpersonal relationship has a significant impact on job satisfaction in the banking and finance sector. Contrarily, there is not any significant relationship between social intelligence and commitment to workplace in the banking, finance, education, computer, health, textile, automotive, electronics, or packing sectors. The bank opens credits mostly for investment projects in developing countries. Turkey has received various investment credits since its membership to the World Bank on March 11, 1947. The credits were used for economic and social domains. Turkey has also been granted credits from the European Investment Bank (EIB). The credits received are composed of micro credits that belong to Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs). A regional development bank, Islamic Development Bank, has also received credits through Eximbank and Industrial Development Bank of Turkey (TSKB) to finance Turkish SMEs.
