Öğe Validity and Reliability of Turkish Version of the Food Craving Acceptance and Action Questionnaire(İstanbul Gelisim University, 2023) Hamurcu, Pınar; Şahin, İrem Nur; Abdullah ÇelikAim: The aim of this study was to determine the validity and reliability of the Turkish version of “The Food Craving Acceptance and Action Questionnaire (FAAQ)”. Methods: The study, using a methodological research design, was carried out with 385 participants at Üsküdar University in the 2021-2022 academic year. Sociodemographic questions, the FAAQ and the Short Form of Food Craving Scale (FCQT-R) were applied through a structured questionnaire created in Google Forms. In the statistical analyses, internal consistency coefficient, factor analyzes and correlations were made with IBM SPSS26® software. Results: In the pilot study conducted with 79 participants, Cronbach's Alpha value was 0.807, and it was determined that the scale had high reliability and was suitable for validity analysis without removing any items. In the Explanatory Factor Analysis of the main study with 235 samples, the Kaiser-Mayer-Olkin value was 0.903, the sample size was very sufficient, and Bartlett Sphericity Test was statistically significant at the level of ?2=972.116 and p=0.000. Conclusionly, a 2-factor structure was revealed with factor loads >0.20 and eigenvalues >1, explaining 69.078% of the total variance. In the Confirmatory Factor Analysis conducted with the other 235 samples of the main study; the Goodness-of-fit indices of the 10-item version were RMSEA=0.048; CFI=0.969; GFI=0.978; NFI=0.951; SRMR=0.088; AGFI=0.964; It was determined that ?2/df=1,904 showed sufficient fit. Conclusion: The Turkish version of The Food Craving Acceptance and Action Questionnaire, which can be used to measure food craving and action, has been shown to be valid and reliable in the Turkish population.
