Özet
Bu araştırma, şiddetin kadınlar üzerindeki etkisinde namus kavramına bakış açısının rolünü araştırmak amacıyla yapılmıştır. Ayrıca namus kavramı, namus adına kadına uygulanan şiddet arasındaki ilişkiler belirlenmiş, bu değişkenlerin demografik özelliklere göre farklılık gösterip göstermediği incelenmiştir. Araştırmanın evrenini Beykent Üniversitesinde bulunan ve elverişli örnekleme yöntemi ile belirlenen 386 öğrenciden oluşmaktadır. Araştırmada İlişkisel Tarama Modeli kullanılmıştır. Veri toplama aracı olarak 'Sosyodemografik Bilgi Formu', 'Namus Adına Kadına Uygulanan Şiddete Yönelik Tutumlar Ölçeği (NKÜŞTO) ve 'Kadına İlişkin Namus Anlayışı Tutum Ölçeği (KİNATÖ) kullanılmıştır. Verilerin analizinde Kruskal Wallis H, Mann Whitney U Testi, Anova, ve T Testinden yararlanılmıştır. Araştırmanın sonucunda, namus kavramı ve namus uğruna kadına uygulanan şiddet değişkenleri arasında istatiksel olarak anlamlı bir ilişki içerisinde olduğu görülmektedir. Namus Adına Kadına Uygulanan Şiddete İlişkin Tutumlar Ölçeği ve Kadına İlişkin Namus Anlayışı Tutum Ölçeği toplam puanları arasında negatif yönlü, istatistiksel olarak anlamlı düzeyde bir ilişki olduğu belirlenmiştir (r=-,662; p<0,05). Namus Adına Kadına Uygulanan Şiddete İlişkin Tutumlar Ölçeği ve Kadına İlişkin Namus Anlayışı Tutum Ölçeği Genel Namus Anlayışı alt boyutu puanları arasında negatif yönlü, istatistiksel olarak anlamlı düzeyde bir ilişki olduğu belirlenmiştir.
This study was conducted to investigate the role of the perspective of honor in the impact of violence on women. In addition, the relationship between the concept of honor and the violence against women in the name of honor, was determined and whether these variables differ according to demographic characteristics was examined. The sample of the study consisted of 386 students from Beykent University who were determined by convenient sampling method. Relational Screening Model was used in the research. 'Personal Information Form', 'Attitudes Towards Violence Against Women on Behalf of Honor Scale (NKÜŞTO)' and 'Women's Honor Approach Attitude Scale (KİNATÖ) ' were used for data gathering. Kruskal Wallis H, Anova, Mann Whitney U, and Independent Sample t tests were used for data analysis. As a result of the research, it is seen that there is a statistically significant relationship between the concept of honor and the variables of violence applied to women for the sake of honor. There was a negative sand statistically significant relationship between total scores of NKÜŞTO and KİNATÖ (r=-,662; p<0,05). It was determined that there was a negative, statistically significant relationship between KİNATÖ General Honor Understanding subscale and NKÜŞTO scores.
