Özet

The world is being polluted rapidly in recent years. Pollution, which can stem from both natural and artificial causes, has a detrimental effect on our health and the environment. People's contribution to the pollution cannot be emphasized enough. Technological development also plays an important role in environmental pollution. Extravagant uses of technology and people's lack of sensitivity to the damages of technology cause pollution to increase in an uncontrollable rate. Pollution causes both global warming and food and health problems. This study investigates the literacy levels of college and university students in the subjects of environment and health. Students' health consciousness was studied as well as their awareness of environmental protection measures. In addition, their opinions on the effects of global warming, on natural life, the environment, and health were investigated. We tried to determine the Environment and Health Literacy of the students, and at the same time we examined their opinions, attitudes, and behavior towards the sources of health-related information. 1- Functional Literacy 2- Interactive (Conceptual and procedural) Literacy 3- Critical Literacy.
