Özet
Anadolu coğrafyası gerek eş zamanlı olarak yan yana, gerek ise art arda gelen zaman dilimlerinde ve üst üste yer almış sayısız denebilecek kadar çeşitlilikte uygarlığa ev sahipliği yapmıştır. Bu uygarlıkları yaratanlarsa izlerini, inanışları, dilleri, gelenek ve görenekleri, yaşayış biçimleri ile Anadolu'nun çok kültürlü mozaiğinde özgün birer parça olarak günümüze dek taşıyabilmişlerdir. İster soyut, isterse somut olsun genel anlamı ile "kültürel miras" olarak adlandırabileceğimiz bu kadim değerler, aynı zamanda onları oluşturan toplumların yaşam kodları olmaktadır. Bu çalışma bir yönüyle Anadolu coğrafyasının yaşam kodlarının içerisinde barındırıldığı kültürel çeşitliliğinde, sosyal yaşamlarında arayıp bulabilme çabası taşırken, diğer yönüyle "yerelin" izlerinin sürüldüğü, yerel kültürün mimariye olan aktarımlarının, mekanın sosyal mantığının sorgulanmaya çalışıldığı armonik bir okuma amacını da taşımaktadır. Çalışma alanı olarak seçilen Kayaköy, hiç kuşku yok ki; Anadolu'nun farklı coğrafyalarında olduğu gibi tarihi, kültürü, mimari dokusu, yerelliği, yerelin "sürdürülebilirliği", tarihin en dramatik olaylarından mübaledeye dair tanıklığı, terk edilmişliği ve nihayet farklı kesimlerce üzerine yapılagelen onlarca "hesabı" ile bu ilgiyi fazlasıyla hak etmektedir.
Anatolian geography can be seen both simultaneously side by side and in successive time periods and it has hosted a variety of civilizations that can be said to be innumerable. Those who created these civilizations have been able to carry their traces, beliefs, languages, customs and traditions, and lifestyles as original pieces in the multicultural mosaic of Anatolia until today. Whether intangible or concrete, these ancient values, which we can call "cultural heritage" in general terms, are also the life codes of the societies that make them up. While this study, on one hand, seeks to find it in the cultural diversity and social lives of the life codes of the Anatolian geography, on the other hand, it also carries the aim of a harmonic reading in which the traces of the "local" are traced, the transfer of local culture to architecture and the social logic of the space are tried to be questioned. Kayaköy, which was chosen as the study area, is without a doubt; As in different geographies of Anatolia, it deserves this attention with its history, culture, architectural texture, locality, "sustainability" of the local, witnessing of the most dramatic events in history, the exchange of population, abandonment and finally dozens of "calculations" made on it by different segments of people.
