dc.description.abstractBu araştırma, otizmli çocuklarla çalışan öğretmenlerin işe adanmışlık, empati eğilimleri ve çocuk sevmesi arasındaki ilişkiyi incelenmeyi amaçlamaktadır. Araştırma İstanbul ilinde otizmli çocuklara eğitim verilen özel ve kamu kurumlarında görev yapan bir grup öğretmenle yapılmıştır. Öğretmenlere uygulanan anket formu sosyodemografik soru formu, Empatik Eğilim Ölçeği, Barnett Çocuk Sevme Ölçeği ve UWES İşe Adanmışlık Ölçeği olmak üzere dört bölümden oluşmaktadır. Araştırmaya 146'si kadın ve 52'si erkek, toplam 198 öğretmen katılmış olup; bu öğretmenlerden 42'si kamu ve 156'sı özel sektörde otizmli çocuklara eğitim veren kurumlarda görev yapmaktadır. Araştırmanın sonunda otizmli çocuklarla çalışan öğretmenlerde işe adanmışlık ile mesleği isteyerek seçme, eğitim durumu, mezun olunan bölüm, işten memnuniyet derecesi ve alınan ücretten memnuniyet derecesi arasında; çocuk sevme ile cinsiyet, mesleği isteyerek seçme, eğitim durumu, mezun olunan bölüm ve işten memnuniyet derecesi arasında; empati eğilimi ile cinsiyet, mesleği isteyerek seçme, eğitim durumu ve işten memnuniyet derecesi arasında istatistiksel olarak anlamlı bir ilişki olduğu gösterilmiştir. Bununla birlikte, empatik eğilim, işe adanmışlık ve çocuk sevme arasında da istatistiksel açıdan anlamlı düzeyde ve pozitif yönde bir ilişki bulunduğu tespit edilmiştir.
dc.description.abstractThis study aims to examine the relationship between work engagement, empathy and liking of children in teachers working with autistic children. Teachers working with autistic children who work at private or public education centers where autistic children are educated, are recruited to the study. The questionnaire adapted to the teachers consists of sociodemographic information form, Empahatic Tendency Scale, Barnett Liking of Children Scale and Utrecht Work Engagement Scale. The study was conducted on 198 teachers in total which consists 146 females and 52 males; 156 work in private and 42 in public foundations. There were statistically significant relationships between the work engagement and the job intentionally chosen, educational background, the field of study, satisfaction of job, satisfaction of salary; the liking of children and gender, the job intentionally chosen, educational background, the field of study, satisfaction of job; the empathetic tendency and gender, job intentionally chosen, educational background, satisfaction of job, satisfaction of salary. In addition, there was a statistically significant and positive relationship between the work engagement, liking of children and empathetic tendency.
