Özet
Günümüzde, dünyanın giderek küresel bir köy haline dönüşmesi paralelinde ve gelişmekte olan ülkeler konumunda olup bundan doğal olarak etkilenen ülkemizde, sektörün `nitelikli ara eleman' ihtiyacı konusu büyük önem taşımaktadır. Ülkemizde, iş dünyasının bu ihtiyacını karşılayacak en önemli kurumlar meslek yüksekokullarıdır. Meslek yüksekokullarının sayısı, ülke genelinde sayıları giderek artan devlet üniversiteleri ve vakıf üniversiteleri paralelinde artmaktadır. Sektörün ihtiyacının karşılanması doğrultusunda düşünüldüğünde bu durumun olumlu bir gelişme olduğu söylenebilir. Ancak pek çok meslek yüksekokulu olmasının yanında önemli olan, potansiyel işgörenlerin nasıl bir mesleki eğitim aldıklarıdır. Sektördeki organizasyonların beklentisi, istihdam edilecek çalışanların teorik ve kısmen pratik olarak edindikleri mesleki bilgi ve kabiliyetlerini, ciddi bir uyum sorunu yaşamadan profesyonel iş yaşamlarına aktarabilmeleridir. Dolayısıyla, bu muhtemel sorunun çözülmesi adına, öğrencilerin eğitim süreçlerinin verimli olması ve bu verimliliğin çalışma hayatında etkinliğe dönüşmesi hususları çok önemlidir. Bunun için yapılması gereken en önemli gereklerden birisi meslek yüksekokulları ve sektör arasındaki, eğitim sürecini de kapsayan, iş birliğidir. Bu çalışmada, öğrencilerin eğitimleri esnasındaki süreçte, aldıkları mesleki eğitimin etkin olup olmadığı, Kirkpatrick'in `Dört Aşamalı değerlendirme Modeli' çerçevesinde, modelin ikinci adımı olan `öğrenme' ile bir sonraki adım olan `davranış' arasındaki süreçten bir kesit alınarak incelenecektir.
The world has recently regarded as a global village and the need for `qualified labor staff? is crucial in Turkey, a developing country, where it has inevitably been affected by globalization. Schools of vocational studies are by far the most significant institutions in our country in order to provide qualified labor for business world. The number of schools of vocational studies are increasing in parallel with the number of the state universities and foundation universities in all over Turkey. Increasing number of those schools might be considered as a positive development in terms of the industry?s labor need. However, the fact is how the potential laboring people have been educated rather than the number of such schools. The anticipation of the industrial organizations is laboring stuff?s adapting their vocational knowledge and skills both theoretical and partly practical to their professional life without facing any serious problem. Thus, considering this possible problem, the efficiency of the students? education process and this efficiency?s transforming into effectiveness in business life are vital. To do so, a collaboration between the industry and the vocational school, covering the education process, is essential. In this study, the effectiveness of the students? vocational education will be examined with a model which is adapted from Kirkpatrick?s `Four-Level Evaluation Model?. It will be argued the process between `learning?, the second step of the model, and `behavior?, the next step of the model.
