Sosyal sınıf farklılıklarının ve sosyal statünün etkisi, romanın iki ana karakteri Heathcliff ve Catherine üzerinden analiz edilir. Sosyal sınıflar ve bu sınıfların keskin bir şekilde bölünmesi, ayrımcılığa yol açmış ve tarih boyunca toplumlar arasında bir sorun haline gelmiştir. The impact of social class differences and social status is analyzed through the novel's two main characters, Heathcliff and Catherine. Social classes and the sharp division of these classes have led to discrimination and become a problem across societies throughout history. As in many societies, nineteenth-century England was affected by such divisions. This novel, published in 1847, sheds light on British culture, and it offers the opportunity to examine Victorian England and the social and political structures of that period. By examining the effects of the social situation through the character of Heathcliff, the impact of social and economic problems on British society during the period will be analyzed. As the events in Wuthering Heights take place amidst the industrialization of England, this process is reflected in all aspects of society. In England, the Industrial Revolution was accompanied by profound social and economic shifts, and the Victorian middle class portrayed in the novel sheds light on this shift. The novel shows the individual and social effects of class discrimination and provides the opportunity to observe the resulting conflicts.
