Küreselleşme süreci ile birlikte değişen yeni hizmet üretimi anlayışı, bilişim teknolojileri ile bilgiyi daha hızlı ve etkin kullanan şirketlerin rekabet avantajı elde etmelerini sağlamıştır. Bilişim teknolojileri ve teknoloji yönetimi ile ilişkili gelişmeler, her ülkede olduğu gibi Türk şirketleri tarafından da takip edilen stratejik bir unsurdur. Hizmet sektöründe faaliyet gösteren elementer sigorta şirketleri, bilginin ekonomik bir değer olarak yönetilebilmesi için kendilerine uygun bilgisayar donanımları kullanmakta, yazılım ve ağ sistemleri ile sigortacılık sistemlerinin sürekliliğini sağlamaktadır. Bu tez çalışmasında, Türkiye'de elementer sigortacılık sektöründe faaliyet gösteren şirketlerin bilişim sistemlerinin yapısı ve bu sistemlerin işlevsel değişimi karşılaştırmalı olarak incelenmiştir. Çalışmada, elementer sigortacılık sektöründe bilişim teknolojilerinin kullanımı ve işletme fonksiyonları üzerindeki etkilerinin güçlü olduğu ve bu sistemleri kullanan şirketlerin, pazar payı, marka değeri ve kurumsal yönetim ilkeleri açısından avantaj elde ettikleri görülmüştür. The process of globalization and the changing concept the production of new services, effective use of information technology information with has enabled them to achieve competitive advantage of companies. As a result of this change, the improvements related to information technology and technology management ought to be considered as strategic factors that need to be closely followed up by Turkish companies as well as other countries. Elementary insurance companies operating in the service sector, the economic value of information in order to manage them using according computer hardware, software and network systems is to ensure the continuity of the insurance system. In Turkey, the elementary insurance companies operating in the sector of information systems structure and functional changes of these systems have been studied comparatively discussed. In this study, elementary insurance sector of information technology utilization and business functions, their impact on be strong and use these systems of companies, market share, brand value and corporate governance in terms of advantages gained were identified.
