Bu amaçla çalışmanın ilk bölümünde giyimi etkileyen temel faktörler kavramsal bir çerçevede açıklanmıştır. İkinci bölümde ise giysi tasarımlarını şekillendiren elemanlar olan renk, çizgi, doku ve desenlerin vücut tipine ve göz yanılsamasına olan etkileri incelenmiştir. Üçüncü bölümde, vücut şekilleri simetrik ve asimetrik açıdan sınıflandırılmış ve bu çerçevede kadınların giysi kalıplarının vücut tiplerine uygun biçimlendirilmesi örneklendirilmiştir. Çalışma, kadınların beden tiplerine ilişkin farkındalıkları ve bu doğrultuda tercih ettikleri giysi seçimlerine odaklanmaktadır. For that purpose, it is explained that major factors of designing clothes in the first chapter, Secondly, It is analyzed that effect of colours, lines, textures and patterns which is main components of clothing designs, to the illusion of body. In the third part, body tips are being categorized symmetrically and asymmetrically. In this context, it is exemplified properly forming of women's clothes patterns according to body types. The study focuses on women's awaring of own body types and clothing choices in this direction.
