Ortadoğu bölgesi bulunduğu coğrafi konum ve sahip olduğu petrol ve doğal gibi kaynaklar açısından ticarette son derece önemli bir konumda bulunmaktadır. Bu açından Türkiye'nin Ortadoğu bölgesine yakınlığı dış ticaret ilişkileri açısından son derece önemli olmaktadır. Ortadoğu ülkeleriyle yapılan dış ticaretin Türkiye'ye önemli bir kazanç sağlayacağı açıktır. Bu çalışma kapsamında Ortadoğu ülkeleri ile Türkiye arasındaki dış ticaret ortaya konulmaya çalışılmıştır. Bu amaçla bazı seçilmiş Ortadoğu ülkeleriyle Türkiye arasında olan dış ticaret incelenmiştir. Türkiye ve Ortadoğu arasındaki ekonomik ve siyasi ilişkilerin olumlu yönde gelişmesinde dış ticaret önemli bir faktördür. Ortadoğu ülkelerinin en büyük gelir kaynaklarının ve ihracatlarının petrol olması bununla beraber Türkiye'nin petrol ithalatçısı konumda olması, Türkiye ve Ortadoğu dış ticaret ilişkilerinin gelişmesindeki en önemli faktördür. Ayrıca gelişen Ortadoğu ülkelerinde talebin sürekli olarak artması, Türkiye'nin ihracatı açısından önemlidir.
