Çalışmaya İstanbul Esenyurt Üniversitesi'nde öğrenim gören 106 kadın ve 83 erkek olmak üzere toplam 189 öğrenci katılmıştır. Çalışmada öğrencilerin zaman perspektifi kategorilerini belirlemek amacıyla Zaman Perspektifi Envanteri ve başa çıkma stratejilerini belirlemek amacıyla Başa Çıkma Stratejileri Ölçeği Kısa Formu (BÇSÖ-KF) uygulanmıştır. Verilerin analizinde Spearman Korelasyon Katsayısı ve Mann-Whitney U testi kullanılmıştır. Bulgular zaman perspektifleri ile başa çıkma stratejileri arasında istatiksel olarak anlamlı ilişkilerin olduğunu göstermektedir. Beş farklı zaman perspektifinin ilişkili olduğu zaman perspektiflerine bakıldığında; geçmişi olumsuz değerlendirme zaman perspektifi ile zihinsel olarak ilgiyi kesme, geçmişi olumlu değerlendirme zaman perspektifi ile madde kullanımı, şimdide hazcı zaman perspektifi ile yadsıma, gelecek zaman perspektifi ile diğer etkinlikleri bırakma, şimdide yazgıcı zaman perspektifi ile yadsıma başa çıkma stratejileri arasındaki korelasyonların en yüksek olduğu bulunmuştur.The purpose of the present study is to examine the relationship between time perspectives and choice of coping strategies among university students. Totally 189 university students, 106 were woman (56.1%) and 83 were man (43.9%) participated in the study. For statistical analysis, Spearman Correlation Coefficient and Mann-Whitney U test were used. Results showed that there are statistically significant correlations between time perspectives and coping strategies.
