Türkiye'de inşaat sektöründe proje yönetiminin amacına ulaşması için özel olarak geliştirilmiş bir proje yönetim standardının olmaması, inşaat proje yönetimi konusunda sorunların ortaya çıkmasındaki en büyük nedenler arasında yerini almaktadır. Türkiye'de inşaat alanında, dünyada benzer örnekleri bulunan proje yönetim standartlarını Türkiye şartlarına ve inşaat alanının niteliklerine uygun bir biçimde tasarlayarak kullanabildiğinde, küresel olarak diğer ülkelerle olan rekabet gücünün arttırılmasına yol açmaktadır. Bu çalışmada Türkiye'de ve dünyada inşaat sektöründe proje yönetiminin yeri ela alınmaya çalışılarak proje yönetim standartlarının uygulanması gerekliliği ve bunların sektöre sağlayacakları faydalar açıklanmıştır. Bu çalışmada inşaat sektöründe proje yöneticilerine yol gösterici bir kaynak olması amaçlanarak inşaat proje yönetimi alanında daha önceden gerçekleştirilmiş çalışmalar ve standartlarla ilgili bir literatür taraması yapılmıştır. Gerçekleştirilen literatür taraması çerçevesinde yaşadığımız çağda, dünya ülkelerinin büyük bir bölümünde onaylanan ve uygulanan proje yönetim sistemlerinin genel amaçları, özellikleri ve bilgi alanları ele alınarak karşılaştırılmıştır. Ülkemiz diğer ülkelere karşılaştırıldığında proje yönetimi konusundaki eksiklikler, ülkemizin dünya ülkelerinin yakaladığı seviyeye ulaşmasına engel olduğu belirtilmiştir. Bu engelleri aşmak ve ülkemizin dünya pazarlarındaki inşaat alanındaki rekabet gücünü arttırmak için ülkemizde de artık proje yönetimi kavramı benimsenmeye başlamıştır. Proje yönetiminin yaygınlaştırılması ve kullanılmasına yönelik gereken önem verilmemekte ve proje yönetimiyle ilgili teknik terimlerden sadece birkaç tanesinde değinilerek projeler yönetildiği düşünülmektedir. Proje yönetim standartlarının ülkemiz şartlarına uygunluğu ve adaptasyonu için yapılması gereken girişimler konusunda bazı öneriler belirtilmiştir.Project management in the construction sector plays a major role in the development of the country's economy. In this study, the location of the project management in the construction sector in Turkey and in the world by working on projects receiving hazel implementation of management standards and requirements are described benefits they provide to their sector. In this study, a literature survey on the previous works and standards in the field of construction project management was conducted with the aim of being a source for project managers in the construction sector. In the context of the literature review we have examined and compared the general objectives, characteristics and areas of knowledge of project management systems that have been approved and applied in most of the world's countries. When compared to other countries, the shortcomings of project management have prevented our country from reaching the level that the world countries have reached. In order to overcome these obstacles and to increase the competitive power of our country in the construction sector in the world markets, the concept of project management is now being adopted in our country. The importance of project management is not emphasized and it is thought that projects are managed by mentioning only a few of the technical terms related to project management.
