Digital transformation in management research: Opportunities for future directions

Özet
The interest in the subject of digital transformation continues to increase among both practitioners and researchers. The outcome of this interest, particularly among researchers, is reflected in scientific studies. The findings of these studies provide guidance to practitioners and shape future research in this field. With this aim in mind, this research conducts a bibliometric analysis of articles on digital transformation in the field of business, management, and accounting to provide insights for future researchers. Co-word analysis and social network analysis recognized bibliometric research methods, were used for this study. The analysis reveals that the main research topics in digital transformation articles are "SME," "Industry 4.0," and "digital technologies." Additionally, the most recent main research topics among the fundamental areas of investigation in digital transformation articles are "information technology" and "digital capability." The study concludes with suggestions for future research on the topic of digital transformation. © 2023 Nova Science Publishers, Inc. All rights reserved.
