Özet
Bu çalışma, öğrenci hemşirelerin meslek seçiminde etkili olan faktörleri belirlemek amacıyla yapılmıştır. Veri toplama aşamasında öğrenci hemşirelerin, hemşirelik mesleği ile ilgili görüşleri de incelenmiştir. Hemşirelik mesleğinin önceden hasta bakıcılık olan algısındaki değişimler ortaya konmuştur. Modern hemşireliğin kurucusu Florence Nightingale'den bu yana hemşireliğin gelişimine, fonksiyonlarına, sorumluluklarına, rollerine, toplumdaki imajına ve meslek seçimini etkileyen faktörlere değinilmiştir. Hemşirelik mesleğinin; tarihsel gelişimi, mesleğin özellikleri, meslekleşme yolundaki gelişmeleri bu çalışmada incelenmiştir. Araştırma 14 Mart Anadolu Sağlık Meslek Lisesi 1. ve 2. sınıf hemşirelik bölümü okuyan 180 öğrenciden 152'si ile örnekleme yöntemiyle gerçekleşmiştir. Veriler değerlendirildiğinde öğrencilerin %75,7'si kadın, %24,3'ü erkektir. Öğrencilerin %88,8'i hemşirelik mesleğini seçmeden önce meslek hakkında bilgi aldığını belirtmiştir. Okula girmeden önce meslek hakkındaki görüşleri incelendiğinde %57,9'unun olumlu, mesleği tercih etme nedenleri arasında %44,4'ü ideali olduğu için seçtiğini, %72,8'inin iş bulma konusunda kaygısının olmadığını, %73,7'sinin ileride bu mesleği yapmak istediğini belirtmiştir. Hem toplumun, hem de hemşirelerin kendi mesleklerine bakış açılarının değişmesi hemşirelik mesleğinin imajında olumlu gelişmelere sebep olmuştur. Hemşirelik mesleğinin seçilmesinde önceden bireyin dışındaki faktörler rol oynarken, günümüzde ise hemşirelerin kendi isteklerinin yer aldığı saptanmıştır. This study, has made for the detecting factors of student nurses career also choosing. At the intel gathering stage, student nurses opinion about nursing career also examined. Changes in the perception of the nursing profession that is patient care has been demonstrated.Since the founder of modern nursing Florence Nightingale, the evolution of nursing, developed functions, accountabilities, status, the image of society about nursing and the factors of career choosing are touched in this thesis. Historical evolution of nursing, attributes of profession, the way of progress in earning professions are deeply examined. The research has made with sample method, the students of 1th and 2th grade ''14 Mart Anatolian Medical Vocational High Scholl" 152 of 180 students are participated in this research. When the data is evaluated, we have seen that the %75.2 of the students are female and the %24.3 are male. The %88.8 of the students are specified that they have informed from external sources before choosing this profession. When they opinion examined about profession before they had started the education, we have seen that the %57.9 were positive, %44.4 of the students said that, they chose this profession because this was their goal, %72,8 of the students said that they doesn't have any anxiety about finding a job, %73.7 of student specified that they wants to do that job in the future. Opinion change of the society and the nurses about being a nurse caused positive reactions in the image of nursing. In the choice of nursing profession was playing a role apart from individuals but now it has been determined that their own requests take part in their choice.
