Özet
İlköğretim 5'den sonra öğrenciler üst öğrenime devam ederken şiddet olaylarına karışmakta ve topluma zararlı faaliyetlerde bulunmakta, kendilerine, çevrelerine ve devlete yük olmaktadırlar. Onları topluma yararlı hale getirmek ve üst öğrenime hazırlamak görevini yüklenen öğretmenlerin iş tatmin düzeylerinin yüksek olması gerekmektedir. Bu araştırma, ilköğretim okullarındaki sınıf öğretmenlerinin iş tatminlerini incelemek amacıyla yapılmıştır. Araştırma 2006-2007 Eğitim-Öğretim yılı İstanbul ili Büyükçekmece ilçesindeki sınıf öğretmenlerini kapsamaktadır. Anketlerde sınıf öğretmenlerinin iş tatminlerini belirlemek amacıyla önce kişisel sorular yöneltilmiştir. İkinci sayfada ücret, iş güvencesi, iş arkadaşları, çalışma saatleri, iletişim, sosyal güvenlik, izin gibi unsurlarla ilgili sorular kullanılmıştır. Ayrıca anket özel okullara ve resmi okullara uygulanmış, iki okul türünde çalışan öğretmenlerin tatmin düzeyleri karşılaştırılmıştır. Araştırmanın sonucunda öğretmenlerin bütünüyle önemli gördükleri iş ortamında can güvenliğinin olmasından ve iş kazası ve meslek hastalığı riski olmamasından tatminkar oldukları görülmektedir. Ayrıca öğretmenlerin işin doğrudan kendisi ile ilgili unsurlardan tatminkar oldukları; buna karşın doğrudan işin kendisi ile ilgili olmayan unsurlardan daha az tatmin oldukları görülmektedir. Öğretmenlerin göreceli olarak en fazla önem verdiği unsurların kurumlarındaki uygulamaların adil olması, yönetimin insancıl ve şeffaf olması, yaptıkları işe saygı duyulması olmuştur. Öğretmenlerin göreceli olarak en az önem verdiği içsel unsurlar ise kendi başlarına çalışma imkanına sahip olma ve yöneticilerinin yetkin olmasıdır. Öğretmenlerin içsel unsurlar içerisinde de bütünüyle tatmin oldukları herhangi bir unsurun bulunmadığı görülmektedir. Araştırma sonuçları çoğu tatmin unsurun öğretmenlerin tatmin düzeyinin yüksek olduğunu ortaya çıkarmaktadır. Ancak öğretmenlerin tatmin düzeyinin en yüksek olduğu unsurlarda bile tatmin düzeyi öğretmenlerin beklentilerini karşılayacak seviyede değildir.
When the students who have graduated from the primary schools go to the high schools, they take place the events involving violance and they show harmful activities to society. The level of satisfaction of teachers who take the mission of making them serviciable for the society and prepare them to upper level must be at high level. This research has been made with the arm of analyzing the satisfaction of teachers work. The research contains the teachers in Büyükçekmece in the educational year of 2006-2007. In the interviews, with the aim of determining the work satisfaction of the teachers first the personal questions have been asked. On the second page the questions regarding to solary, work quarantee, friends at work, work haws, communication, social quarantee and holiday have been used. The interviews have been made at private schools and state schools, the level of satisfaction of two schools has been compared. At the end of research it is seen that the teachers satisfy the life quarantee at work, and not to have work accidentof job illness which are totally important for them, Also it is seen that the teachers satisfy the principles which are directly related themselves however they less satisfy the principles who are not directly related to themselves. The principles which the teachers relatively attach importance the most are the equity of applying in their institutions, kind and transparent management, and the respect of people to their work. The personal principles which the teachers relatively attach importance the less are the chance to work by themselves and the sufficient managers. It is seen that there aren?t any principles in personal principles which the teachers satisfy. The results of research expose that the level of satisfaction of teachers is high at many principles. Even the principles that the teachers have the highest level, the level of satisfaction is not on the same level to meet the expectations of teachers.
