Özet
Bu belgesel Ege'nin görünümüyle kendine hayran bırakan taş evleri, köklü tarihinin izlerini bulabileceğiniz sokakları ile tanınan Ayvalık'ta yaşayan ve Ayvalık'ı yakından tanıyanlarla yapılmış görsel bir yolculuktur. Taş evler, atölyeler, eski kiliseler, eski sokaklar, kahvehaneler kendine özgü güzellikleriyle görsel ve sözlü açıklamalı olarak aktarılmıştır. Tarihin babası Heredot'un ''Yaşadıkları şehri en güzel masmavi gökyüzünün altına inşa ettiler.'' cümlesi "Kalbim Ayvalık'ta Kaldı" projesine kaynak olmuştur. Ayvalık'ta yapılan görsel yolculukta; eski Türk filmlerinin geçtiği mekânlardan biri olan Şeytan'ın kahvesi, pencerelerden sarkan sardunyalar, restore edilmiş tarihi Rum evleriyle süslü sokaklar, bir zamanlar zeytinyağı üreten fabrikalar, camiye dönüşen kiliseler bu kentte mahalle kültürünün halen devam ettiğini bize ispat etmektedir.
This documentary is made in Ayvalık, an Aegean town which is famous for its admirable stone houses, streets where you can find traces of its historical past, together with people who live in Ayvalık and know Ayvalık very well. Stone houses, workshops, old Churches, old streets, coffeehouses with their unique beauty have been conveyed visually and verbally. The words said by Herodotus, father of history: "They built the city they live in, under the most beautiful blue sky" has been the source of the project "My heart remained in Ayvalık" project. During the visual journey in Ayvalık we come across Şeytan Coffehouse, which was used as movie set in the old Turkish films, the geraniums hanging from the windows, the streets decorated with restored Greek houses, factories that have been producing olive oil once, churches converted to mosques proves us that old neighborhood culture continues to live in this town.
