Özet
Geçmişten günümüze kentlerde kıyı alanları; ulaşım, yerleşme, ticaret, tarım vb. farklı amaçlarla kullanılmıştır. Sanayileşme, nüfus artışı, plansız yapılaşma gibi nedenlerle kıyıların ekolojisi bozulmaya; kent ile kıyı arasında aşılması güç sınırlar oluşturmaya başlamıştır. İnsanların erişiminin kısıtlandığı kıyı bölgeleri zamanla canlılığını yitirmektedir. Günümüzde kıyılara yeni işlevler verilerek sürdürülebilir ve rekreatif faaliyetlerin yer aldığı düzenlemeler yapılmaktadır. Üç tarafı denizlerle çevrili olan Türkiye, kıyı kentleri açısından oldukça zengindir. Bunlardan biri Karadeniz Bölgesi'nde yer alan Ordu ilidir. Ordu konumu, doğal, tarihi ve kültürel özellikleri sayesinde kıyı kullanımı ve turizm açısından birçok potansiyele sahiptir. Bu potansiyelleri kullanılarak kentin cazibesini arttırmak ve bir marka imajı kazandırmak mümkün ve gereklidir. Bu tez kapsamında yurtiçi ve yurtdışı kıyı kullanımları incelenerek, Ordu ilinin kıyı kullanımı potansiyeli üzerine çalışılmıştır. Bu doğrultuda, kente ilişkin kıyı kullanımına dair bir kullanıcı anketi yapılmış; halkın istek ve önerileri belirlenmiştir. Daha sonra Ordu'nun kent merkezini oluşturan Altınordu ilçesinin turizm ve rekreasyon açısından güçlü ve zayıf yanları incelenerek kıyı hattını yenilemeye yönelik öneriler sunulmuştur.
Coastal areas in cities from past to present; used for different purposes like transportation, settlement, trade, agriculture, etc. The ecology of the coasts began to deteriorate due to industrialization, population growth, and unplanned construction.Thus, it started to create difficult borders between the city and the coast. Coastal areas, where human access is restricted, lose their vitality over time. Surrounded by seas on three sides, Turkey is very rich in terms of coastal cities. One of them is Ordu province located in the Black Sea Region. Ordu has many potentials in terms of coastal use and tourism thanks to its location, natural, historical and cultural features. It is possible and necessary to increase the attractiveness of the city and to gain a brand image by using these potentials. Within the scope of this thesis, domestic and international coastal uses were examined and the coastal use potential of Ordu province was studied. In this direction, it is made a user survey on the coastal use in city; the wishes and suggestions of the people were determined. Afterwards, the strengths and weaknesses of Altınordu district, which constitutes the city center of Ordu, were examined in terms of tourism and recreation, and suggestions were made for renewing the coastlin
