Sağlık çalışanlarına yönelik şiddet olgusunun bir üniversite hastanesi ölçeğinde incelenmesi

Özet
Araştırmanın amacı, sağlık çalışanlarının işyerinde uğradıkları şiddet olaylarının boyutunu ve özelliklerini belirlemektir. Araştırma, ortaya çıkan sonuçlar doğrultusunda şiddet olaylarına karşı alınacak tedbirler açısından önemlidir. Araştırma, Temmuz 2014 ve Ağustos 2014 tarihleri arasında Eskişehir Osmangazi Üniversitesi Tıp Fakültesi Hastanesi'nde gerçekleştirilmiştir. Veriler, değişik meslek gruplarında görev yapan sağlık çalışanlarının cevapladığı toplam 44 sorudan oluşan anket formu ile toplanmıştır. Sağlık çalışanlarının iş yaşamı boyunca şiddete uğrama durumu ile yaşı, çalıştığı birimi ve mesleği arasında, sözel şiddete uğrama durumu ile cinsiyeti, fiziksel ve psikolojik şiddete uğrama durumu ile mesleği arasında anlamlı ilişki vardır. Yaş ile işini bırakmayı düşünme durumu arasında anlamlı ilişki söz konusudur. Sağlık çalışanları işyerinde saldırgan davranışlarla karşılaşmakta ya da şiddet olaylarına tanık olmaktadır. Sağlık iş ortamının güvenli hale getirilmesi ve sağlık çalışanlarının eğitilmesi ile verilen sağlık hizmetleri daha verimli hale gelecektir. The purpose of this study is to determine the extent of the violence healthcare workers suffered at their workplaces and its characteristics. The study, parallel to the results obtained, is important based on the measures to be taken against the violence. The study was carried out at Eskisehir Osmangazi University Medical Faculty Hospital between July 2014 and August 2014. Data were collected through a questionnaire consisting of 44 statements answered by health care workers employed in different occupational groups. Statistically significant differences were found between exposing violence throughout their working career, their ages and their units and professions, exposing verbal violence, their genders, and exposing physical and psychological violence and their professions. There is also statistically significant difference between their ages and their thinking of quitting their jobs. Health care workers are faced with aggressive behavior in the workplace or witness to violence. It is believed that by securing the heath care work environment and training health care workers, health care services will become much more efficient.
