Özet
Under the uncontrollable effects of climate change, pandemics, environmental deterioration, population increases, water scarcity having a comprehensive sustainability mind map is vital for the countries. Under the assumption that the water-energy-food needs of present and future generations can be met, it corresponds to the set of practices in which the ecological structure can reproduce itself in the long run [1]. This paper aims to elucidate the impact of the water-energy-food nexus (WEF nexus) in Turkey amidst challenges posed by climate change, and sustainability concerns in finance. It delves into the current usage of water, energy, and food, identifying core ideas and offering insights into resource management [2]. By assessing the impact of water-energy-food depletion due to climate change and environmental factors such as the climate crisis, food shortages, and global pandemics, it seeks to provide new understandings and solutions for managing water resources, energy systems, and food shortages, which are intricate global problems. The paper presents a brief review and data providing a systematic analysis of Water-Energy-Food (WEF) and Climate Change Nexus specifically focused on Turkey. It offers new solutions and management opportunities by synthesizing perspectives from research aimed at addressing environmental challenges. As a result, the study has presented the new solutions and management opportunities with getting new perspectives from the researches to have the aim of combatting with the environmental problems. © The Author(s), under exclusive license to Springer Nature Switzerland AG 2024.
