In this study on proficiency in art, the globally impactful Covid-19 pandemic has been taken as the subject matter, focusing on the category of single-location and single-character films to create a short film. To enable the execution of the project, single-location and single-character films were separately defined, and the characteristics of single-location, single-character films that do not exceed the limitation of one location and one character were determined by examining films such as Buried, Locke, All is Lost, and 127 Hours. Additionally, in order to provide context to the subject matter, obsessive-compulsive disorder and cleanliness obsession were addressed, thereby establishing a theoretical framework. Within this framework, a short film project titled Obsession was realized, which takes place in a single location with a single character. The pre-production, production, and post-production processes were discussed in detail, outlining the entire filmmaking process. As a result, based on the theoretical framework, the analyzed films, and the experiences gained during the practical implementation, the narrative approach of single-location, single-character films, along with the possibilities and limitations during the production process, will be presented, highlighting the necessary aspects to maintain the viewer's interest.
