Özet
European Union (EU) is a constantly changing and evolving structure and it has changed and evolved after every crisis. It can be claimed that the enlargement and deepening of the EU hit a bottleneck after the negotiations with Turkey started and the EU Constitution was rejected. Recently, the processes of enlargement and deepening went beyond being a dilemma and turned into a paradox becoming much more complicated with the Euro crisis, Syrian crisis (hence the refugee problem) and Brexit. It is important to ask how the EU will come out of this complex and difficult situation and restructure itself. Flexible integration models present new alternatives that can differentiate both the enlargement and deepening processes of the EU. In this context, this article evaluates the transformation possibilities of the EU after Brexit in the framework of flexible integration models. © Peter Lang GmbH Internationaler Verlag der Wissenschaften Berlin 2018.
