Sınav kaygısı ile geleceğe yönelik umut beklentisi arasındaki ilişki: 17-18 yaş arası İstanbul lise son sınıf öğrencileri üzerine bir araştırma

Özet
Bu araştırmada, İstanbul ilinde Şişli, Beyoğlu ilçesi sınırları içinde Anadolu Lisesi ve Özel Lise olmak üzere rastlantısal yolla seçilen 17-18 yaşarası lise son sınıf öğrencilerinin, üniversite giriş sınavı kaygıları ile geleceğe yönelik umut beklentilerinin ilişkilendirilmesi amaçlanmıştır. Çalışmaya katılmayı kabul eden 138 kişi örneklemi oluşturmuştur. Araştırmanın verileri, Sınav Kaygısı Envanteri, Beck Umutsuzluk Ölçeği ve araştırmacı tarafından oluşturulan Kişisel Bilgi Formu kullanılarak toplanmıştır. Çalışmada, bireylerin umutsuzluk düzeyleri arttıkça bireylerin sınav kaygısı düzeylerinin de artmakta olduğu, özel okulda okuyan lise son sınıf öğrencilerinin, Anadolu lisesinde okuyan lise son sınıf öğrencilerine göre sınav kaygı düzeylerinin daha yüksek olduğu, kız öğrencilerin sınav kaygı düzeylerinin erkek öğrencilere göre daha yüksek olduğu, özel okulda okuyan bireylerin devlet okulunda okuyan bireylere oranla duyuşsallık düzeylerinin daha yüksek olduğu, özel okulda okuyan bireylerin devlet okulunda okuyan bireylere oranla kuruntu düzeylerinin daha yüksek olduğu, bireylerin yaşları arttıkça bireylerin sınav kaygısı düzeylerinin de artmakta olduğu görülmüştür. Bireylerin yaşları arttıkça bireylerin umutsuzluk düzeylerinin de artmakta olduğu, annesi üniversite mezunu ve üzeri olan bireylerin diğer bireylere oranla sınav kaygısı düzeylerinin daha yüksek olduğu, bireylerin aylık harçlıkları arttıkça sınav kaygısı düzeylerinin de artmakta olduğu görülmüştür. In this research a number of 17-18 years old senior class students were selected in a random manner from Anatolian (State) and Private High Schools from two counties of Istanbul, Şişli and Beyoglu, in order to compare their anxieties over their college entry test results and their expectations about their futures. 138 persons who agreed to be part of this study formes our sample. The data for the research was collected by employing methods like Test Anxiety Inventory, Beck Hopelessness Scale and Personal Information Forms created by the researcher. According to the research, individuals with higher hopelessness levels had also higher test anxieties levels, seniors from private schools had higher test anxieties levels compared to students from state schools, female students had higher test anxieties levels, students from private schools had higher levels of emotionality compared to students from state schools, students from private schools also had higher levels of delusions, older students displayed higher test anxieties levels, older students' level of hopelessness were also higher, individuals who had mothers with college education or better, also had higher test anxieties levels, individuals with higher allowances also had increased levels of test anxieties.
