Özet
In this chapter, using the “country institutional profile”, I try to explore how diversity and equality (D & E) at work are influenced by the Turkish context. Based on the semi-structured interviews, website and document analysis, I try to understand the influence of the topic-specific regulative (laws & regulations, governmental policies), normative (selected non-governmental organizations, multinational companies, family business groups), and cognitive (main and mainstream media) elements on D & E. Findings reveal that the Turkish institutional context mostly favors gender diversity. However, diversity is highly politicized in the recent years and the country gets further away from a supportive and tolerant environment for D & E. © Alain Klarsfeld, Lena Knappert, Angela Kornau, Eddy S.
