Özet
Çalışmanın amacı yakın dönem mimarlığına ilişkin teorik bir temel ortaya koymaya hizmet edebilecek bir tartışma çerçevesi oluşturmaktır. Bu amaç doğrultusunda bilimsel bir yöntemle belirlenmiş olan 66 tanınmış mimarın, 1990-2020 yılları arasında inşa ettiği 1146 kamu yapısına ilişkin mimari metin analitik sürece dayalı bir yöntemle analiz edilmiştir. Mimarinin sadece temsillerden ibaret olmadığı görüşünden hareket eden bu çalışmada, çağın öncü mimarlarının neleri tasarım problemi olarak belirledikleri, bu problemlere hangi kavramlarla yaklaştıkları ve bu kavramların onları hangi formlara yönelttiğine odaklanılmıştır. Çalışmada 1146 proje mimarların kendi metinleri üzerinden analiz edilmiş ve bu formlara eşlik eden kavramların neler olduğu ortaya konmuştur. Yapılan analiz çalışması yakın dönem öncü mimarlarının 7 kategori içinde 19 farklı tasarım problemi tanımladığını göstermiştir. Bununla birlikte mimarların belirledikleri tasarım problemlerine çözüm olarak kullandıkları kavramlara da bakılmış ve bu noktada 9 kategoride 20 farklı kavramsal odak tespit edilmiştir. Çalışmanın sonucunda yakın dönem mimarlarının yaklaşımları, onları önceleyen Modern Mimari değerlerle karşılaştırılmış ve mimarlık disiplininin kadim tasarım paradigmalarının sürdüğü ancak yakın dönemli mimaride bunlara yeni kentsel ve ekolojik kavramların eklendiği, tasarım sorunlarının ele alınış ve sorgulanış biçimlerinin değiştiği ve form artikülasyonlarının çok zenginleştiği görülmüştür.
The aim of the study is to create a discussion framework that can serve to reveal a theoretical basis for recent architecture. For this purpose, the architectural texts of 1146 public buildings built between 1990 and 2020 by 66 well-known architects, who were determined by a scientific method, were analyzed with a method based on the analytical process. Moving from the view that architecture is not just about representations, this study focuses on what the leading architects of the era identified as design problems, with which concepts they approached these problems and what forms these concepts led them to. In the study, 1146 projects were analyzed through the architects' own texts and the concepts accompanying these forms were revealed. The analysis study showed that the pioneering architects of the recent period defined 19 different design problems in 7 categories. In addition to this, the concepts used by architects as solutions to the design problems they have determined were also examined and at this point, 20 different conceptual focuses in 9 categories were determined. As a result of the study, the approaches of the recent architects were compared with the Modern Architectural values that preceded them, and it was seen that the ancient design paradigms of the architectural discipline continued, but new urban and ecological concepts were added to them in the recent architecture, the way in which design problems were handled and questioned changed, and the form articulations became very rich.
