Özet
İstihbarat, günümüzde önemli bir unsur olmaktadır. Öte yandan da istihbarat ülkelerin silahsız gücü olarak karşımıza çıkmaktadır. Ülkeler istihbarat olmadan karar alma mekanizmalarında sorunlar yaşamaktadırlar. Buna bağlı olarak istihbarat devletlerin vazgeçilmezi olmaktadır. Yakın geçmişe bakıldığında ülkelerin ürettikleri politikaların tümünde istihbaratın izlerini görmek mümkündür. Bundan dolayı ülkelerin iç ve dış politikalarında istihbarat faaliyetlerinin yol göstericiliği etkili sonuçlar doğurmuştur. Diğer yandan da istihbarat, kamu politikalarında da kendisini hissettirmektedir. İstihbaratın bir türü olan stratejik istihbaratta günümüzdeki istihbarat anlayışına yeni bir vizyon kazandırmıştır. Bu bağlamda istihbaratın ulusal kamu politikalarında nasıl bir etkisinin olduğu önem taşımaktadır

As a result, intelligence is indispensable for governments. In the recent past, it is possible to see the traces of intelligence in all the policies that countries produce. Therefore, the guidance of the intelligence activities in the domestic and foreign policies of the countries has produced effective results. On the other hand, intelligence is also felt in public policies. In strategic intelligence, which is a type of intelligence, it has given a new vision to today's intelligence understanding.
