Belgesel film estetik ve gerçekliğin bir araya gelmesiyle oluşur. Bu çalışmada, kaybolmaya yüz tutmuş ciltleme sanatının kökeni, tarihsel gelişim sürecini İstanbul'un kadim zanaatkarlarının bulunduğu Beyoğlu semtinde mesleğinin son icracılarından olan ve bir geleneği sürdüren mücellit Enes Çinğay ve çırağı Mehmet Yağcı üzerinden incelenmektedir. Enes Çinğay, ciltleme sanatının son kalan önemli temsilcilerinden biri olarak, geleneğin izlerini barındıran son icracılardan biri olma özelliği taşımaktadır. İstanbul'un tarihi atmosferi içinde, Beyoğlu semtinde tarihi bir sahaf çarşısı çatısı altında bu sanatı sürdürmesi ve usta-çırak geleneğini yaşatarak bir kültür mirasının yaşatılmasında önemli bir rol oynamaktadır. Belgeselde, Çinğay'ın atölyesine yapılan ziyaretler, ciltleme sanatının inceliklerini ve zanaatkarın ustalığını gözler önüne sermektedir. Aynı zamanda, bu geleneğin geçmişle günümüz arasında nasıl köprü kurduğunu, günümüzde ve gelecekte bu sanatın nasıl icra edilebilip aktarılacağını anlamak için önemli bir fırsat sunmaktadır. Bu belgesel, izleyicileri usta-çırak ilişkisi ve sanatın incelikleri etrafında buluşturarak, sanatın yaşayan bir örneği olan Enes Çinğay ve çırağı Mehmet Yağcı aracılığıyla tarihin derinliklerinde bir yolculuk sunmayı amaçlamaktadır. Belgesel aynı zamanda ciltleme sanatının tarihsel önemini vurgulayarak, teknolojik gelişmelerin ve dijitalleşmenin gölgesinde kalan geleneksel zanaatların nasıl korunması gerektiğine dair bir çağrı niteliği taşımaktadır. Enes Çinğay'ın yaşamı ve çalışmaları, bu geleneğin gelecek nesillere nasıl aktarılacağı konusunda ilham verici bir örnek oluşturmaktadır. Belgesel, sanatın ve kültürel mirasın korunması, yaşatılması ve yeniden değer kazanması için izleyicilere bir perspektif sunmaktadır.

The documentary film is formed by the combination of aesthetics and reality. In this study, the origins and historical development process of the almost extinct art of bookbinding are examined through bookbinder Enes Çinğay and his apprentice Mehmet Yağcı, who are among the last practitioners of the profession and continue a tradition in the Beyoğlu district of Istanbul, where the ancient craftsmen are located. As one of the last remaining important representatives of the art of bookbinding, Enes Çinğay has the distinction of being one of the last practitioners who retain traces of the tradition. He plays an important role in keeping this art alive by continuing the master-apprentice tradition and keeping the master-apprentice tradition alive in the historical atmosphere of Istanbul, under the roof of a historical second-hand bookshop market in the Beyoğlu district. The visits to Çinğay's workshop in the documentary reveal the intricacies of the art of bookbinding and the craftsman's mastery.
