Özet
Çalışmanın amacı 1960 sonrası Türk resim sanatında İstanbul kent temasının ele alınışındaki anlayış farklarını değerlendirmektir. Batılı anlamda gelişen Türk resim sanatındaki İstanbul kent temalı ilk resim örneklerini de kapsayarak günümüze kadar uzanan süreçte 1960 tarihi, İstanbul kentinin 1950'li yıllarda yaşanan göç ve çarpık kentleşme ile "bozulmaya" başlamasının Türk resim sanatındaki yansımalarının görüldüğü yıllar olması sebebiyle seçilmiştir. Öte yandan Türk resminde figüratif anlamda önemli bir yere sahip 1968 Kuşağı ressamlarının düşünsel ve figür odaklı resimleriyle İstanbul kent yaşamını ele almaya başlamaları yine 1960'lı yıllara rastlamaktadır. Eser metninde yer alan resim örnekleri söz konusu temanın ele alınışındaki iki önemli anlayışı gözler önüne sermektedir. Sosyo politik / toplumsal nedenlerle güzelliğini ve kimliğini yitirmeye başlayan İstanbul'un resim sanatındaki yansımalarının görülmeye başlandığı 1960'lı yıllar İstanbul kent temasının işlenişindeki kırılmayı ortaya koyar. En genel anlamda İstanbul kent temasının ele alınışı şiirsel olmaktan eleştirel olmaya doğru evirilmiş ve sanat ile toplum arasındaki doğrudan ilişkiyi bir kez daha gözler önüne sermiştir. Bununla birlikte günümüzde de konuya şiirsel bir bakışla yaklaşan bir anlayış da varlığını sürdürmektedir. Eser metninin birinci bölümünde 1960 öncesi Türk resmindeki İstanbul kent temasını ele alan resimlere ayrılmıştır. Bu bölümde söz konusu temayı ele alan belli başlı ressamlar ve resimleri kronolojik olarak incelenmiştir. 1960 sonrası örneklerin yer aldığı ikinci bölümde temanın işlenişindeki eleştirel yaklaşımı doğuran toplumsal süreçlere değinilmiş ve söz konusu süreçleri yansıtan resimler kronolojik olarak değerlendirilmiştir. Üçüncü bölümde kendi resimlerime dördüncü bölümde ise sonuçlara yer verilmiştir.
The aim of the study is to evaluate the differences in understanding of Istanbul's city theme in Turkish painting post 1960. Up to the present day, starting from 1960, the Istanbul city theme including the first examples of Turkish painting art developing in a western sense was chosen because of the reflections beginning with migration and distorted urbanization of the city of Istanbul in the 1950s. On the other hand, the paintings from the 1968 generation of painters, who had an important place in Turkish painting in the figurative sense, started in the 1960s to address the city life with their intellectual and figure-oriented paintings. The examples of paintings included in this work show two important approaches to the theme in question. The city of Istanbul which began to lose its beauty and identity due to socio-political / social reasons, began to see the reflections in art starting in the 1960s reveals the process of breakage in Istanbul city theme. In the most general sense, the handling of the Istanbul city theme has evolved from poetic to critical and once again revealed the direct relationship between art and society. On the other hand, there is still a continued understanding in approaching the subject from a poetic point of view. The first section of the work is divided into the illustrations of Istanbul city theme in Turkish painting before 1960. In this section, the considerable painters of the time and their paintings dealing with the theme in question are examined chronologically. Examples from post 1960 are in the second section, highlighting the social processes that gave rise to a critical approach to the theme and the pictures reflecting these processes were evaluated chronologically. My personal pictures are presented in the third section and finally in the fourth section the results are given.
