Abstract
Bu çalışma, ilköğretim okullarında şiddet ile öğrenci, öğretmen ve yönetici yaklaşımlarını incelemek amacıyla gerçekleştirilmiştir. Araştırma iki ayrı bağımsız evrenden oluşmakta ve bu evrenlerden alınmış iki bağımsız örneklem içermektedir. Birinci evren İstanbul ilindeki ilköğretim okullarında öğrenim gören 6. , 7. ve 8. sınıf öğrencilerini; ikinci evren ise İstanbul ilindeki ilköğretim okullarında görev yapan öğretmen ve yöneticileri kapsamaktadır. Araştırmanın örneklemini İstanbul ilinin Tuzla ilçesinde bulunan basit tesadüfi örnekleme seçilmiş 9 ilköğretim okulunda öğrenim gören 269 öğrenci ile, bu kurumlarda görev yapan 81 öğretmen ve yönetici oluşturmaktadır. Araştırmanın oluşturulmasında betimsel tarama yöntemi uygulanmıştır. Şiddet ve şiddetin sebepleri üzerinde duran genel kaynaklar ve ilköğretim okullarında şiddet olaylarını inceleyen kaynaklar taranmıştır. Verilerin toplanması, öğrenciler ile öğretmen ve yönetici yaklaşımlarını inceleyecek şekilde iki ayrı anket formu hazırlanarak yapılmıştır. Çalışma iki bölümden oluşmaktadır. Birinci bölümde tanım olarak şiddet, okul ve şiddetle ilgili çalışmalar, yaklaşımlar, şiddetin boyutları, kaynağı ve şiddete yönelik düzenlemeler; ikinci bölümde araştırmanın yöntemi, Tuzla ilçesi ilköğretim okullarında şiddet ve bu konudaki öğrenci, öğretmen, yönetici yaklaşımlarının incelenmesi amacıyla yapılan uygulama ve araştırma verilerinin değerlendirilmesi, araştırmanın sonuçları tedbirler ve sonuçlar açıklanmıştır.
This study was carried out to investigate the violence in elemantary schools and the approach of students, teachers and administrators towards it. This study of mine composes of two independent universe and includes two independent sample spaces taken from respective universes. The first universe is composed of the sixth, seventh and eight grade students in Istanbul province whereas the second one is composed of the teachers and administrators working in the province of Istanbul. The sample space is composed of 269 students who studies in nine elemantary schools randomly chosen in Tuzla district, together with 81 teachers and administrators working in these schools. The study was carried out by using descriptive scanning method. Both the references on violence and the sources of violence and on violent events in elementary schools have been scanned. The data was collected by the application of two questionnaires investigating the approaches of students and, teachers and administrators. This study has two parts. In the first part, the definitions of violence was given and the studies on schools and violence, approaches to this problems, the scope and source of violence and the regulations against violence are investigated. In the second part, the method of this research is explained and moreover an application about the violence in Tuzla district elemantary schools and the apporach of students, teachers and administrators is carried out. Also, the evaluation of the research data and the results of the research, precautions and conclusion are given in the second part.
