Özet
Bu arastırma, resmi lise ve meslek liselerinde görev yapan matematik ögretmenlerinin is tatmin düzeylerini karsılastırmak amacıyla yapılmıstır. Arastırmaya katılan kisilerin is tatmin düzeyleri yedi alt boyut ve altı kisisel özellik degiskeninden olusmaktadır. Arastırma genel tarama modeli ile yapılmıstır. Arastırmanın bölgesini stanbul ili Bagcılar ilçesindeki 17 resmi lisedeki matematik ögretmenleri olusturmustur. Bu liselerde görev yapan 95 matematik ögretmeninden % 85'ini temsilen 81 ögretmen yansızlık kuralına göre oransız eleman örnekleme yoluyla alınmıstır. Arastırma neticesinde asagıdaki sonuçlar ortaya çıkmıstır. 1. Bayan ögretmenlerin is tatmin düzeyleri meslek liselerinde, erkeklerin ise düz liselerde daha yüksektir. 2. Evli ögretmenlerin is tatmin düzeyleri meslek liselerinde daha yüksektir. 3. Liselerde görev yapan matematik ögretmenleri en yüksek is tatminini is arkadasları ve yönetim biçeminde, en düsük ise ücret ve terfi alt boyutlarında algılamıslardır. 4. Çalısma olanakları açısından meslek liselerindeki ögretmenlerin is tatmin düzeyleri daha yüksektir.
This research has been conducted to compare job satisfaction levels of mathematics teachers in regular high schools and vocational high schools. The satisfaction levels of the participating teachers consist of 7 sub-dimensions and 6 personal characteristic variables. The research utilized the general scan method. The test group consists of mathematics teachers in 17 public high schools in Bagcilar province of Istanbul. These high schools have 95 actively working mathematics teachers, and 81 teachers out of this group were selected randomly to represent a group without bias, which also amounts to 85% of all of the mathematics teachers working in Bagcilar. The following has been concluded at the end of this research: 1. While male teachers are satisfied with their jobs at regular high schools, female teachers are more satisfied at vocational high schools. 2. Married teachers? job-satisfaction levels at vocational high schools are higher. 3. High school math teachers are more satisfied with their jobs in terms of colleagues and administrative practices, while they are less satisfied with their jobs in terms of salary and promotion procedures. 4. In terms of the job-location opportuinities, vocational high school teachers? satisfaction levels are higher than those of regular high school teachers.
